Join us as the Mechanic II, you will be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, refurbishment, and operational readiness of offshore pressure pumping, vessel support, and material transfer equipment used in North America Offshore operations. You will support both shore-based maintenance activities and offshore deployments, helping ensure equipment reliability, safety, compliance, and operational performance.
As Mechanic II, you will be to perform preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance on mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Your responsibilities include equipment inspections, diagnostics, repairs, modifications, testing, commissioning, and reliability improvement activities supporting offshore operations and fleet readiness.
You will provide technical support for stimulation vessels, Vessel-to-Vessel (V2V) transfer systems, pumps, compressors, blowers, power generation equipment, bulk handling systems, hydraulic equipment, and related support assets. The role requires the ability to diagnose failures, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and restore equipment to service in shop, dockside, vessel, and offshore environments.
As the Mechanic II, you will be responsible for:
- Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Perform preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on offshore pressure pumping, bulk handling, and material transfer equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, overhaul, and rebuild mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and electro-mechanical systems. Conduct equipment inspections and assess asset condition to support operational readiness and reliability. Execute equipment assembly, disassembly, functional testing, commissioning, and verification activities. Perform welding, fabrication, painting, preservation, refurbishment, and approved equipment modifications as required. Support equipment upgrades, life-extension projects, and reliability improvement initiatives.
- Offshore Operations Support
- Mobilize offshore to support vessel operations, maintenance campaigns, equipment commissioning, and field execution activities. Provide hands-on technical support during active offshore operations and time-sensitive maintenance events. Diagnose and repair equipment failures under demanding operating conditions while maintaining safe work practices and minimizing downtime. Support vessel readiness initiatives and operational campaigns, including Vessel-to-Vessel (V2V) transfer operations. Work extended or rotational schedules and respond to operational requirements outside normal working hours when assigned.
- Diagnostics and Troubleshooting
- Use diagnostic equipment, testing instruments, drawings, manuals, and maintenance data to identify equipment faults. Analyze inspection findings, operating conditions, and failure history to determine probable root causes. Implement corrective actions and provide recommendations that reduce recurring failures and improve equipment performance. Escalate complex technical issues and coordinate with engineering, operations, suppliers, and other support functions as needed.
- Asset Readiness and Compliance
- Maintain equipment in accordance with approved procedures, maintenance standards, drawings, and OEM requirements. Complete work orders, inspections, maintenance records, parts usage, and certification documentation accurately and on time. Inspect, evaluate, and disposition parts and equipment in accordance with company quality requirements. Support audits, regulatory inspections, quality assurance activities, and equipment certification requirements. Maintain assigned tools, test equipment, work areas, and maintenance materials in a safe and serviceable condition.
- Health, Safety and Environmental
- Comply with company and customer HSE policies, procedures, permits, and safe work practices. Participate in hazard assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, and corrective action programs. Identify and communicate maintenance and operational risks before work begins. Promote a strong safety culture in shop, dockside, vessel, and offshore environments.
- Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, asset availability, and operational efficiency. Support special projects, equipment redesign efforts, capital improvements, and asset modernization initiatives. Assist with the development and improvement of maintenance procedures, work instructions, technical documentation, and best practices.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Technical diploma, trade certification, military technical training, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience.
- Minimum of three years of relevant maintenance experience in offshore, marine, oilfield, manufacturing, power generation, heavy equipment, automotive, aviation, military, or related industrial environment.
- Demonstrated ability to inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and test mechanical or electro-mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures, work instructions, equipment manuals, drawings, and applicable safety requirements.
- Ability and willingness to travel up to or more than 50% of the time, including offshore assignments.
- Ability to work extended schedules, rotational assignments, and emergency response activities when operationally required.
- Ability to meet applicable offshore medical, training, and fitness-for-duty requirements.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements Include:
- Ability to work in industrial, shop, dockside, vessel, and offshore environments.
- Ability to climb ladders and stairs and access vessel structures, elevated work areas, and confined equipment spaces as permitted by training and work requirements.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials in accordance with company requirements.
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, cold, rain, noise, vibration, and offshore marine conditions.
- Ability to travel by vehicle, vessel, helicopter, and other transportation methods required to support offshore operations.

You will have:
- Technical experience in (not required, but is a plus):Hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including fault isolation and component replacement. Pumps, compressors, blowers, valves, gearboxes, and other rotating or reciprocating equipment. Diesel engines, power generation equipment, and mechanical drive systems Bulk material storage, conveying, and transfer system Offshore pressure pumping, stimulation, or related vessel equipment.
