Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop individualized radiation treatment plans in accordance with Radiation Oncologists' written directives and established clinical standards.
  • Perform treatment planning calculations, including 2D, 3D, IMRT, electron, and other applicable radiation therapy techniques.
  • Contour anatomical structures and target volumes, perform image registration and fusion, and support CT and virtual simulation activities.
  • Collaborate with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to optimize treatment plans while protecting surrounding healthy tissue.
  • Assist with the design and preparation of treatment aids, immobilization devices, and beam-modifying equipment.
  • Support treatment plan verification, dose calculations, and quality assurance activities in collaboration with Medical Physics.
  • Communicate treatment planning details and provide technical guidance to Radiation Therapists during treatment preparation and implementation.
  • Accurately document treatment parameters, calculations, and patient information within the treatment planning and record-and-verify systems.
  • Participate in chart reviews, quality control activities, accreditation initiatives, and ongoing process improvements.
  • Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards, regulatory requirements, and departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Medical Dosimetry program required.
  • Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB) certification preferred; board eligibility required. Candidates who are not currently certified must obtain MDCB certification within three years of becoming a Medical Dosimetrist at QMG.
  • Current CPR/BLS certification required.
  • Knowledge of 2D and 3D treatment planning, IMRT, electron dose calculations, brachytherapy planning, and treatment plan verification.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and commitment to radiation safety and treatment accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with physicians, physicists, therapists, and other clinical professionals.
  • Ability to manage multiple treatment plans and priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting patient care needs.

Benefits

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.
  • Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.
  • Employer provided life and disability insurance.
  • $5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year.
  • Immediate 401(k) match.
  • 40 hours paid volunteer time off.
  • A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.
  • Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
