The posting

As a Forward Deployed Palantir Solutions Lead at Rackspace Technology, you will own the AI and data strategy for a portfolio of strategic enterprise accounts in either Healthcare, BFSI, Manufacturing, or Logistics/Supply Chain verticals, supporting existing customers and net-new pursuits alike. Embedded with the customer's operational and financial leadership, you will run scope-to-build bootcamps on Palantir Foundry and AIP that turn a real business problem and real customer data into a working proof of value and a funded engagement. The role combines sales engineering, product discovery, Palantir solution leadership and data architecture, and sits within Sales Engineering in the Data & AI organization.

Work Location and Travel: United States of America

- Candidates who live in the San Antonio, TX area will work a hybrid schedule with two days in the office.

- If you are not located near San Antonio, TX, this position may be worked 100% from home.

- Travel up to 50% per business requirements for on-site customer engagements.

"Remote postings are limited to candidates residing within the country specified in the posting location."

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary technical advisor to operational executives on your greenfield pursuits and existing accounts, bringing their technical leadership into the work.
  • Own the technical account plan: the use-case roadmap, the target architecture on Foundry and AIP, and the path from first bootcamp to enterprise-wide adoption.
  • Lead discovery through non-leading interviews, event storming, journey mapping, and requirements elicitation to select the use case worth building first.
  • Own and prioritize the bootcamp and production backlogs; hold scope to what delivers business value within the engagement window.
  • Plan and lead one-week scope-and-build bootcamps with customer teams, directing FDEs and delivery engineers on what to build and why.
  • Build prototypes hands-on in Pipeline Builder, Ontology, Workshop, AIP Logic, and OSDK, with AI FDE and other LLM-based tools where speed or ambiguity demands it.
  • Design the ontology, integration, and governance patterns that connect Foundry to the customer's estate: SAP, Oracle, Snowflake, Databricks, and cloud data services.
  • Translate bootcamp outcomes into priced statements of work, architectures, and 90-day plans with account executives, and hand a clean backlog to delivery.
  • Deliver executive briefings and readiness assessments that secure sponsorship and funding.
  • Build reusable accelerators, ontology patterns, and discovery templates for your vertical.
  • Mentor sales and delivery engineers and feed field insight back to the Palantir alliance and practice leadership.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or regional equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Computer Science. At the manager’s discretion, additional relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement
  • 12+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or enterprise AI delivery, including 6+ years in a customer-facing or field role.
  • Hands-on Palantir Foundry and AIP experience (Pipeline Builder, Ontology, Workshop, AIP Logic or OSDK), with the ability to build a working prototype independently.
  • Experience running time-boxed build-with-the-customer engagements (bootcamps, hackathons, one-week POCs) that led to signed or expanded deals.
  • Demonstrated product discovery and product ownership practice: non-leading interviewing, event storming or domain-driven design, journey mapping, requirements elicitation and backlog ownership.
  • Deep familiarity with at least one enterprise system of record (SAP, Oracle, Epic, or equivalent) and the modern data stack: Snowflake or Databricks, a major cloud platform, CDC, and master-data concepts.
  • Strong Python and SQL; working knowledge of PySpark and TypeScript.
  • Deep domain expertise in Healthcare, BFSI, Manufacturing, or Logistics/Supply Chain verticals: their systems of record, data standards, and regulatory constraints.
  • Trusted-advisor relationships with operational and financial executives and their technology leadership; strong presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to turn ambiguous customer needs into a scoped plan under tight timelines.
  • Working knowledge of data security, privacy, and compliance requirements in regulated industries.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Palantir certifications; cloud, data engineering, or MDM credentials.
  • Prior experience at Palantir, a Palantir partner, an AI startup, or a forward-deployed engineering team.
  • Agentic and RAG architectures beyond AIP, and AI evaluation frameworks.
  • Full-stack and DevOps depth: Node.js or Go, React or Vue, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform.
  • Enterprise MDM, event streaming, and data observability platforms.
  • Knowledge graphs and semantic modeling (RDF, OWL, Neo4j).
  • Industry data standards for your vertical; Human-Centered Design and Jobs to Be Done.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
