Wil jij werken op het snijvlak van techniek, acute zorg en langdurige patiëntrelaties? En lijkt het je mooi om je te specialiseren in dialyse binnen een academisch topcentrum? Dan is dit jouw kans.

Als dialyseverpleegkundige in opleiding groei je in ongeveer 15 maanden uit tot specialist in niervervangende zorg.

Afhankelijk van jouw ervaring kijken we of een voorwerktraject op de verpleegafdeling Nierziekten bij je past. Hier maak je kennis met complexe en zeldzame nieraandoeningen én met ons transplantatieprogramma — een belangrijk onderdeel van wat ons centrum zo uniek maakt.

Tijdens de behandelingen heb jij de regie. Je bewaakt continu de vitale functies van de patiënt en schakelt direct als de situatie daarom vraagt. Je werkt met geavanceerde apparatuur en leert technologie slim inzetten in soms complexe, acute situaties.

Je werkt met een afwisselende patiëntengroep:

  • Chronische patiënten, met wie je een langdurige behandelrelatie opbouwt en veel betekent op psychosociaal vlak.
  • Acute patiënten, bijvoorbeeld rondom transplantaties of vanwege complexe problematiek.

Deze acute zorg vindt plaats op verschillende plekken binnen het ziekenhuis, zoals de Behandelunit Nierziekten, IC, MC, NICU, PICU en CCU. Geen dag is hetzelfde.

Je start met hemodialyse en groeit daarna verder binnen de behandelunit. Denk aan:

  • Peritoneale dialyse.
  • Thuisdialyse.
  • De nierfalenpoli (waar je zelfstandig spreekuren draait).
  • Kinderdialyse (wij zijn één van de drie centra in Nederland).
  • Aferesebehandelingen.

Na je opleiding kun je je verder specialiseren in één of meerdere onderdelen.

Je werkt tijdens de opleiding in dag- en avonddiensten.

Jouw werkplek

Je komt te werken op de Behandelunit Nierziekten van het Radboudumc: één van de drie centra in Nederland waar we ook kinderen dialyseren én een toonaangevend centrum voor niertransplantaties.

Je werkt in een hecht team van ongeveer 40 dialyseverpleegkundigen en schakelt dagelijks met artsen, facilitair zorgmedewerkers en andere specialisten.

Onze behandelunit is modern ingericht, met de nieuwste technologie en volop in beweging. Innovatie en onderzoek spelen hier dagelijks een rol — waardoor jij blijft leren en jezelf blijft ontwikkelen.

Samen met de verpleegafdeling Nierziekten en de medische staf vormen we het Thema Nier. We werken multidisciplinair en zetten net dat stapje extra voor onze patiënten.

Bij het Radboudumc Centrum voor Ontsteking, Infectie en Afweer behandel je infecties en afweerstoornissen en werk je aan betere immuniteit en preventie. We verbinden wetenschap en praktijk met complexe diagnostiek, innovatieve therapieën en patiëntgerichte zorg.

Ons centrum bundelt expertise in infectieziekten, het immuunsysteem en ontstekingsprocessen om ook de meest complexe zorgvragen te beantwoorden. Je werkt binnen zorgprogramma’s met gespecialiseerde zorgpaden, bijvoorbeeld bij immuundeficiënties en zeldzame infecties. Onderzoek en onderwijs zijn nauw verweven met de patiëntenzorg, zodat nieuwe inzichten direct worden toegepast. Samen met expertisecentra verbeteren we continu diagnostiek, behandeling en preventie, en ontwikkelen we de zorg van de toekomst.

Profiel

Je bent mbo-verpleegkundige, BIG-geregistreerd en kiest bewust voor het specialisme dialyse én voor een academische werkomgeving. Ook beschik je over werkervaring in een ziekenhuis.

Daarnaast herken je jezelf in onderstaand profiel:

  • Je schakelt snel en blijft rustig als een patiënt achteruitgaat.
  • Je hebt interesse in techniek én complexe zorg.
  • Je bouwt graag een band op met patiënten die je vaak jarenlang ziet.
  • Je kunt een professionele leerlingenrol aannemen en zet patiëntveiligheid altijd op één.
  • Je werkt graag samen en zoekt actief de samenwerking op.
  • Je neemt initiatief en wilt jezelf blijven ontwikkelen.
  • Je vindt het leuk om mee te denken over hoe zorg slimmer en beter kan.

Goed om te weten

  • De aanstelling is voor de duur van de opleiding (bij 32 uur per week is dit ongeveer 1,5 jaar). Bij het succesvol afronden van de opleiding is het gebruikelijk dat je een contract voor onbepaalde tijd krijgt.
  • De opleiding start in april 2027. Afhankelijk van jouw werkervaring start je voor de opleiding eerst met voorwerken.
  • Je groeit na de opleiding door naar salarisschaal 8aM. Ook is het dan mogelijk om 24 tot 36 uur per week te gaan werken.
