Functie

Als Projectmanager Wetenschappelijk Onderzoek binnen de afdeling Medische Microbiologie speel je een centrale rol in het verwerven, coördineren en succesvol uitvoeren van nationale en internationale onderzoeksprojecten. Je ondersteunt onderzoekers en projectleiders gedurende het gehele traject: van subsidieaanvraag tot projectafsluiting.

In dit traject ben je verantwoordelijk voor de financiële, administratieve en juridische coördinatie. Je bewaakt de voortgang van projecten ten opzichte van planning, deliverables, mijlpalen en budgetten en stemt eventuele wijzigingen af met onderzoekers, consortiumpartners en subsidiegevers, zoals de Europese Unie, NWO, NIH, Wellcome Trust en de Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.

Als onderdeel van de Research Unit draag je bij aan het onderzoeksportfolio van de gehele afdeling Medische Microbiologie. Je informeert onderzoekers over subsidiemogelijkheden, adviseert over projectmanagementvraagstukken en zorgt voor een goede afstemming met ondersteunende afdelingen zoals Valorisatie, Grant Support Office en Project Control.

Daarnaast volg je ontwikkelingen op het gebied van onderzoeksfinanciering, beleid en regelgeving op de voet. Je vertaalt deze ontwikkelingen naar adviezen voor onderzoekers en draagt bij aan de verdere professionalisering van onderzoeksprocessen binnen de afdeling. Met jouw expertise fungeer je als sparringpartner en specialistisch aanspreekpunt voor onderzoeksondersteuning en projectmanagement.

Jouw werkplek

De afdeling Medische Microbiologie heeft een sterke nationale en internationale onderzoekspositie en verricht toonaangevend onderzoek op gebieden zoals antibioticaresistentie, mycologie, mycobacteriologie, malaria, virologie en vectorbiologie. De onderzoeksgroepen werken intensief samen met vooraanstaande nationale en internationale partners.

Onze onderzoekers beschikken over hoogwaardige faciliteiten en een unieke onderzoeksinfrastructuur om grensverleggend onderzoek mogelijk te maken. De Research Unit, waar jij als projectmanager deel van uitmaakt, ondersteunt de onderzoekers hierbij.

Profiel

Wij zoeken een enthousiaste en proactieve professional die wetenschappelijke inhoud goed weet te combineren met projectmatige, financiële en organisatorische vaardigheden. Je hebt het vermogen om meerdere projecten gelijktijdig te begeleiden. Met jouw uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden weet je effectief samen te werken met onderzoekers, financiers en samenwerkingspartners.

Je beschikt over:

  • Een afgeronde masteropleiding of promotie binnen de Life Sciences.
  • Minimaal vier jaar ervaring met het zelfstandig uitvoeren van wetenschappelijk onderzoek op academisch niveau, bij voorkeur afgerond met een promotietraject.
  • Ervaring met onderzoeksprojecten en affiniteit met subsidieaanvragen, projectcoördinatie en onderzoeksfinanciering.
  • Een zelfstandige, initiatiefrijke en resultaatgerichte werkhouding.
  • Goede beheersing van de Nederlandse en Engelse taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.

Goed om te weten

  • De functie wordt aangeboden voor 6 maanden. Afhankelijk van ontwikkelingen wordt gekeken of dit eventueel verlengd kan worden.
  • Voor deze functie is een Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG) vereist.
