Functie

Als Spoedeisende Hulp (SEH) verpleegkundige in opleiding werk je vanaf het begin mee op de afdeling. Je volgt de theorielessen op de Radboud Health Academy, de opleiding duurt ongeveer 15 maanden en wordt helemaal betaald door het Radboudumc

Als SEH verpleegkundige in opleiding heb je de volgende taken:

  • Intensieve verpleegkundige zorg leveren aan een of meerdere patiënten.
  • Het verpleegkundig proces uitvoeren volgens standaardprocedures.
  • Bijdragen aan de ontwikkeling van standaardprocedures.
  • Patiënten, hun begeleiders, ouders en verzorgers informeren en begeleiden.

Om jezelf te ontwikkelen, kennis en ervaring te delen én om bij te springen in geval van capaciteitsproblemen, is het voor jou geen probleem om bij te springen op een andere afdeling of binnen een ander specialisme.

Op de SEH wordt voornamelijk in onregelmatige diensten gewerkt. Vroege -, tussen -, late - en nachtdiensten.

Jouw werkplek

Op de afdeling werken ongeveer 80 collega’s nauw samen met elkaar. Naast een eigen medische staf SEH artsen, SEH artsen in opleiding en het secretariaat, werken ongeveer 45 verpleegkundigen in ons team. Als verpleegkundige op de SEH heb je een belangrijke rol bij de opvang en behandeling van alle patiënten en hun begeleiders. Door de grote diversiteit aan patiënten en de verschillende casuïstiek, werk je nauw samen verschillende zorgprofessionals in diverse specialismen. Dit maakt het werk zeer afwisselend en leerzaam.

Daarnaast zorgt de academische setting voor deelname aan verschillende (verpleegkundige) wetenschappelijke onderzoeken. De SEH biedt jou de mogelijkheid om naast de geëigende cursussen als Trauma Opvang Volwassene, Opvang Vitaal Bedreigd Kind, en ILS, een scala aan beroepsgerichte cursussen en symposia te volgen waardoor jij, en daardoor de afdeling, constant op de hoogte bent van de nieuwste ontwikkelingen en inzichten.

Bij de afdeling Spoedeisende Geneeskunde werk je 24/7 aan acute zorg voor kinderen en volwassenen. Je onderzoekt snel, stabiliseert en start behandeling bij uiteenlopende acute klachten. Door intensieve samenwerking met diverse specialismen kun je snel en veilig handelen bij elke situatie. Indien nodig regel je soepele opname of vervolgzorg binnen het Radboudumc.

Profiel

Je bent gediplomeerd mbo verpleegkundige met een geldige BIG-registratie en je hebt minimaal 2 jaar relevante en recente werkervaring in een ziekenhuis, bij voorkeur op de afdelingen IC, MC, CCU of AOA. Heb je wel relevante werkervaring, maar niet op een gespecialiseerde afdeling, dan heeft het de voorkeur dat je een aanvullende opleiding zoals GMI opleiding hebt gevolgd.

Werkervaring in het Radboudumc is zeker een pre om aan de opleiding tot SEH-verpleegkundige te starten. Daarnaast beschik je over:

  • Kennis van protocollen, standaarden, procedures en voorschriften.
  • Ervaring met verpleegkundige methoden en technieken in complexe zorgsituaties.
  • Flexibele instelling, zelfstandig en in teamverband kunnen functioneren.
  • Vaardigheid in het begeleiden van patiënten.
  • Daadkrachtige communicatieve vaardigheden.

Goed om te weten

  • Jouw opleiding wordt volledig betaald door het Radboudumc. De aanstelling is voor de duur van de opleiding. Rond je de opleiding positief af, dan zal dit direct overgaan in een onbepaalde tijd contract.
  • Voor deze functie is een Verklaring Omtrent het Gedrag (VOG) vereist.
