The posting

Role: Build and integrate insurance software on a cloud-native core platform, from analysis to production.

Stack: TypeScript, Node.js, Java, APIs and complex integrations, cloud services

Experience: You have built and maintained complex software applications with APIs and integrations, typically with about 3+ years as a software engineer.

English: B2 or higher, C1 ideal

Contract: Full-time, indefinite B2B contract with Radity; you invoice Radity monthly in USD.

Location: Remote

Core hours: 09:00 - 18:00 EST

The product

Our client is a US insurtech company, that builds a cloud-native core platform for insurance, and it works like a software product company. Insurers and managing general agents use its platform and systems every day to run their policies, billing and claims, and it is already in production with insurers.

You join a joint Radity and client team of 7–8 engineers, growing to 10-12. This is not an outsourcing role: you work on the client's real problems, in what the client calls a Solution Engineer role.

What you'll do

  • Take technical tasks from analysis through implementation and release.
  • Build backend services, APIs and business logic, and application features where needed.
  • Design and improve integrations between the platform and insurers' systems.
  • Troubleshoot complex issues and improve performance.
  • Write well-tested, maintainable code, and take part in code reviews and engineering decisions.
  • Work directly with Radity and client engineers and project stakeholders.

What you bring

  • Strong hands-on TypeScript with Node.js, and professional Java.
  • Complex software applications you have built and maintained, not only isolated components.
  • APIs, integrations and distributed application components in production.
  • Solid software design, testing, version control and maintainable architecture.
  • Strong analysis and problem solving, and the ability to work independently in a remote team.
  • Daily, effective use of AI coding tools.
  • Clear communication and collaboration with engineers and stakeholders.

Nice to have: frontend development; insurance or other regulated-domain software.

Not for you if you only want greenfield work, or prefer not to work with client stakeholders.

What Radity offers

  • Indefinite contract: not tied to the end date of one project.
  • Reallocation: if a project ends, we move you to another client project.
  • Full equipment, paid AI tools and learning budget.
  • Global team events.
  • Startup-style projects for established clients, with real influence on direction.
  • Performance and salary reviews twice a year.
  • Deep, hands-on experience with a leading insurance core platform.

Hiring process

About 2-3 weeks in total, with no take-home task. After each step, you hear from us within 2 business days, with feedback.

  1. Intro call with Radity HR,
  2. Technical round with an engineer from the team,
  3. Interview with the hiring manager,
  4. Offer.

If the client chooses another candidate after you have passed our steps, you stay in our pool for other client projects.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.

What if my background isn't good enough?

We make the most of the background you have. The CV uses every piece of relevant proof your profile holds, and one of the 25 readers reads your whole profile and flags what the CV left out.
