The posting

AV Field Service Engineer – South

If you're an experienced AV Engineer who enjoys fault-finding, problem-solving and being the person clients can rely on, this could be a brilliant next step. We're looking for an AV Field Service Engineer to join a highly experienced and knowledgeable technical team, supporting a varied portfolio of clients across London and the South.

This is an opportunity to join a business where you can genuinely develop your career, learn from people who really know their stuff and build on your technical expertise while maintaining a good work-life balance.

The Role

As an AV Field Service Engineer, you'll take responsibility for keeping client AV systems performing at their best. You'll be trusted to diagnose and resolve faults, carry out preventative maintenance and repairs, and provide clients with a knowledgeable, professional and reassuring service.

You'll have the autonomy to manage your workload in the field, but you certainly won't be on your own. You'll be joining a solid, supportive technical team with a huge amount of AV knowledge and experience to draw upon.

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving AV system faults on-site
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance and equipment servicing
  • Producing clear and concise reports following site visits
  • Building strong, long-term relationships with clients
  • Supporting the AV Help Desk team when required
  • Working within customer SLAs and maintaining high service standards
  • Organising bench repairs and liaising with manufacturers when required

The Person

Ideally, you'll have at least two years' experience within an AV Field Service Engineering role and be confident fault-finding across a range of professional AV systems. More importantly, you'll be someone who enjoys solving problems, communicates well with clients and takes pride in getting things working properly.

Experience with some of the following would be beneficial:

Crestron, AMX, Extron, QSC, Logitech, Poly, Biamp, ZeeVee and Shure

You may also have experience with remote management platforms such as:

Utelogy, Barco, Fusion, RMS, Avedia Server and TMS

AVIXA CTS, CTS-I or CTS-D certification would be advantageous, although broader technical experience and a strong AV background are equally valued.

Career Development

One of the biggest attractions of this opportunity is the potential to develop and progress.

You'll be surrounded by experienced AV professionals who are happy to share their knowledge, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your technical skills, gain exposure to different systems and technologies and continue building your career within the business.

There is a genuine track record of people developing their roles and progressing internally, making this a great opportunity for someone looking for a long-term career move rather than simply their next job.

Additional Information

Alongside the career development opportunities, there's a strong benefits package and a real focus on creating a sustainable work-life balance.

  • Company van or car allowance
  • All business travel and expenses covered as part of the role
  • Electric car scheme
  • Excellent work-life balance
  • Flexible holiday allowance, including the option to buy and sell additional days
  • Pension scheme
  • Death-in-service cover
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Regular team days, social events and incentives
  • Genuine opportunities for training, development and internal progression

Interested?

If you're looking for an AV Service role where you can keep developing technically, work alongside a genuinely knowledgeable team and still have a life outside of work, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants stability, progression and a supportive environment where good people stick around.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
