Job Description:

Rakuten International is a division of Rakuten Group, Inc., a Japanese global technology leader in services that empower individuals, communities, businesses and society. Headquartered in San Mateo, California with more than 4,000 employees worldwide, the Rakuten International business portfolio includes market leaders in e-commerce, digital marketing, advertising, communications and entertainment. We create products and services that provide exceptional value by aligning members and the businesses that want to engage them in a shared community.

Rakuten Advertising provides advertising technology and consumer insights to the world’s leading brands and retailers. Working with agencies and brands around the world, Rakuten Advertising unites technology, client strategy and consumer insights to deliver advertising experiences that drive increased brand awareness and marketing performance. With access to Rakuten’s diverse media properties and audiences, combined with an award-winning performance network and proprietary consumer research, Rakuten Advertising creates the right conditions to reach new customers and sustain long-lasting loyalty.

SUMMARY:

In this role, you will be part of the Creator Services team, supporting brand clients as they build, launch and grow their creator programs. Working alongside account managers and creator strategists, you will help recruit and onboard creators, coordinate campaigns and ongoing program strategy from brief to published content, and report on what is driving results.

Our clients span retail, fashion, beauty, home, travel, finance and more. You will see firsthand how brands partner with creators across social platforms, from product seeding and gifting to paid collaborations and commission-based programs, and how our team turns those partnerships into measurable performance. You will also work closely with internal groups such as analytics, product, marketing and billing. This role offers a strong foundation in the creator economy from both the brand and creator perspective.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for brands and creators, managing communication between creators, brand clients and account managers.
  • Support creator discovery and recruitment by building target lists based on audience fit, content quality, engagement and brand alignment.
  • Manage creator onboarding, including outreach, program terms, tracking links, product seeding and gifting logistics.
  • Coordinate campaign execution: distribute creative briefs, track deliverables and deadlines, and keep content calendars current.
  • Review creator content for brand guidelines, campaign requirements and FTC disclosure compliance, both before and after it goes live.
  • Keep client offers, commission rates, promo codes and campaign assets up to date across creator-facing tools and communications.
  • Track creator and campaign performance (reach, engagement, clicks, conversions and sales) and help build client-ready recaps and insights.
  • Monitor creator content and social channels to identify top performers, emerging talent and optimization opportunities.
  • Keep the creator community engaged through regular check-ins, newsletters and relationship building.
  • Stay current on social platform updates, social commerce features and creator economy trends.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities):

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Creator Economy Knowledge: Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest and other social platforms, and how creators build audiences and monetize their content. Familiarity with affiliate or performance-based creator partnerships is a plus.
  • Technical Abilities: Must be able to quickly learn proprietary software and creator management platforms such as Impact.com, LTK, and/or Shopmy to manage campaigns and report results. Solid proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint for client-ready reports and presentations. Ability to learn Rakuten tools and processes.
  • Communication Skills: Exemplary written and oral communication skills, with the ability to adjust tone for creators, clients and internal partners.
  • Relationship Builder: Personable and responsive, able to build trust with creators and maintain positive long-term partnerships.
  • Detail Oriented: Able to manage multiple creators, campaigns and deadlines efficiently and accurately.
  • Collaborative: Able to work across several teams and departments.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

  • College graduate. Communication, journalism, marketing or business majors preferred.
  • Experience in influencer marketing, creator partnerships, social media, talent management or affiliate marketing (including internships) preferred.
  • Active interest in creator culture and social content; managing your own social presence or creator relationships is a plus.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
