Private Patient Co-Ordinator
Duchy Hospital - Truro
30 Hours Per Week
The working hours will be between Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 9am to 5pm and may include occasional evenings and weekends for promotional events.
The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen at Duchy Hospital for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills to join our Private Patient Team.
You will be responsible for handling enquiries, booking outpatient appointments and following up patients’ journey through to surgery. You will provide high levels of customer service when handling enquiries and providing quotes to potential Ramsay patients.
The successful applicant will liaise with self-pay and medically insured patients, local hospital teams, Consultants and Medical Secretaries to grow private patient admissions.
In addition to this, you will support the Private Patient Team by attending promotional events in line with our local and corporate business development strategies.
Duties will include but are not limited to
- Handle all enquiries and book appointments via telephone, email or social media
- Provide detailed information to patient enquiries whilst delivering excellent customer service
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal hospital teams, consultants, medical secretaries and external stakeholders to ensure appointments are converted
- Maintain contact with potential patients to ensure they are satisfied with the progress of their enquiry

Duchy Hospital is part of Ramsay Health Care UK, one of the leading providers of NHS and private patient services in England. Duchy has 30 inpatient beds, and 12 ambulatory bays, 3 laminar flow Theatres, an Endoscopy unit/Day Theatre, and a cardiac Catheter Laboratory. We are currently developing plans for a significant build to increase our facilities and capacity further
