Our client is an established regional organisation within the Consumer Technology sector. As the business continues to expand its operations and diversify its commercial offerings, they are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Assistant Manager/Manager to join them.

You will play an integral role in supporting the financial reporting requirements of a rapidly expanding digital financial services business, while gaining exposure to complex accounting matters arising from new products, market expansion and strategic corporate initiatives.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Financial Reporting & Operations: Manage month-end closing activities, financial reporting and statutory audit requirements across multiple entities, ensuring timely and accurate reporting in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Technical Accounting & Advisory: Evaluate complex accounting implications arising from new financial products, business models and commercial initiatives, working closely with internal stakeholders to determine appropriate accounting treatments under US GAAP.
  • Business Partnership: Collaborate with regional finance teams, business leaders, legal and other cross-functional stakeholders to assess the financial reporting implications of new products and regulatory requirements across different markets.
  • Group Reporting & Strategic Projects: Support evolving group consolidation requirements, finance process enhancements and major corporate initiatives as the business continues to scale

skills and experience required.

You should possess a degree in Accountancy or an equivalent qualification, with approximately 8 years or more of relevant experience in financial reporting, audit or technical accounting. Prior commercial experience in financial services, particularly banking, lending or consumer financing, would be highly advantageous. Familiarity with US GAAP and group consolidation is preferred, alongside strong analytical capabilities and the ability to navigate complex accounting matters. You should be technically strong, analytical and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to engage multiple stakeholders and interpret accounting implications arising from evolving business activities.
