Joining Razer will place you on a global mission to revolutionize the way the world games. Razer is a place to do great work, offering you the opportunity to make an impact globally while working across a global team located across 5 continents. Razer is also a great place to work, providing you the unique, gamer-centric #LifeAtRazer experience that will put you in an accelerated growth, both personally and professionally.

Job Responsibilities :

We are looking for a curious, motivated, and innovative Software Engineer (Android) to join our team. You will help build and enhance high-quality mobile applications that deliver seamless experiences for Razer users.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop reliable, scalable, and user-friendly solutions, while exploring modern technologies and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and accelerate innovation.

We value strong engineering fundamentals, a problem-solving mindset, and a willingness to learn, experiment, and continuously improve.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and improve Android applications, reusable components, and SDKs.
  • Build prototypes and proof-of-concepts to explore new features, technologies, and product ideas.
  • Write clean, maintainable, efficient, and testable code following software engineering best practices.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., Claude Code) to accelerate development, automate repetitive tasks, prototype solutions, and improve productivity while critically reviewing and validating AI-generated outputs.
  • Debug issues, optimize application performance, and support compatibility with new Android OS versions and devices.
  • Integrate APIs, third-party libraries, and hardware connectivity features as required.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, application releases, and continuous improvement of development workflows.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, explore emerging technologies, and maintain clear technical documentation.

Pre-Requisites :

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in programming fundamentals, data structures, object-oriented programming, and problem-solving.
  • Working knowledge of Kotlin or Java, with familiarity in Android application development.
  • Understanding of Android architecture, application lifecycle, UI development, and common Android SDK components.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, asynchronous programming, local storage, and basic concurrency concepts.
  • Experience with Git-based version control and modern development tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Willingness to learn new technologies, troubleshoot independently, and adapt to evolving engineering practices.
  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with modern Android development tools and libraries, such as Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, Flow, and Jetpack components.
  • Exposure to unit testing, debugging, CI/CD pipelines, Firebase, and Google Play release processes.
  • Familiarity with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), Wi-Fi connectivity, or SDK development.
  • Exposure to AI coding assistants, development automation, or cross-platform technologies such as Flutter or React Native.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical decisions and seek constructive feedback.

Mindset

  • Product & Customer Focus: Passionate about technology, user experience, and building solutions that deliver real value.
  • Ownership & Teamwork: Takes responsibility for work, learns from mistakes, shares knowledge, and welcomes constructive feedback.
  • Growth & Curiosity: Proactively explores new technologies, including AI, and continuously improves technical skills and development practices.
  • Quality First: Values clean, tested, reliable code and understands the importance of validating solutions rather than simply making them work.

Experience: Early-career engineers are encouraged to apply. Relevant professional experience, internships, or strong hands-on projects will be considered.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
