What will you do?

  • Conduct comprehensive credit assessments of data centers and AI infrastructure borrowers across project finance, borrowing base, and corporate lending structures.
  • Analyze complex data center and AI infrastructure transactions, evaluating construction risk, operational risk, sponsor strength, and cash flow adequacy.
  • Work collaboratively with business teams early in the transaction lifecycle to identify key credit risks and recommend appropriate deal structures and mitigation strategies.
  • Review and adjudicate Credit Requests within agreed timelines, assign appropriate Risk Ratings, and escalate exceptions to applicable policies and guidelines.
  • Conduct timely risk assessments incorporating continuous monitoring of financial performance, industry trends, regulatory changes, and early warning signals.
  • Review complex financial models, conduct scenario analysis, and prepare peer group comparisons to support risk rating recommendations.

What do you need to succeed?

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, CFA) a plus
  • 3–6 years in credit risk management at a major investment bank, commercial bank, or rating agency, preferably with some project finance experience.
  • Good understanding and willingness to grow knowledge base of hyperscale data center operators, AI infrastructure assets (incl. power generation and GPUs), and related project finance structures.
  • Proficiency in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and the ability to evaluate complex technical documentation.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to challenge assumptions and critically evaluate risk assessments.
  • Ability to articulate complex credit analysis clearly through written recommendations and presentations to senior management.

What’s in it for you?

We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper. We care about each other, reaching our potential, making a difference to our communities, and achieving success that is mutual.

  • A comprehensive Total Rewards Program includes competitive compensation and flexible benefits, such as 401(k) program with company-matching contributions, health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance, and paid-time off.
  • Leaders who support your development through coaching and managing opportunities
  • Ability to make a difference and lasting impact
  • Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive, and high-performing team
  • Opportunities to do challenging work and build close relationships with clients

The expected salary range for this position is $120,000-$200,000 (New York), depending on your experience, skills, and registration status, market conditions and business needs.

You have the potential to earn more through RBC’s discretionary variable compensation program which gives you an opportunity to increase your total compensation, provided the business meets its performance targets and you meet your individual goals.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
