Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for an experienced materials and planning professional who can connect manufacturing needs with the systems and data that keep production moving. You bring hands-on experience in materials management, production planning, scheduling, and ERP/MRP systems, with the ability to anticipate supply risks and turn data into action.

You are analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing urgent material needs with longer-term planning and systems improvements. You take ownership, solve problems, and collaborate effectively across Procurement, Production, IT, Finance, and suppliers.

What You Get To Do

  • Manage material availability and inventory levels to support production schedules and resolve shortages or discrepancies.
  • Partner with Procurement and suppliers to track orders, address delays, and minimize production disruptions.
  • Develop and maintain the master production schedule, balancing demand, capacity, inventory, and material availability.
  • Translate forecasts into actionable production and material plans while identifying constraints and recommending solutions.
  • Monitor key planning metrics, including on-time delivery, schedule adherence, and inventory turns.
  • Serve as a materials and planning subject matter expert during ERP implementations, upgrades, and conversions.
  • Lead ERP data validation and cleansing for BOMs, routings, lead times, inventory records, and planning parameters.
  • Support ERP testing, troubleshooting, configuration, documentation, and user training.
  • Drive improvements to materials, planning, scheduling, and ERP-supported processes.

What You Bring To The Team

  • 5–8 years of experience in materials management, production planning/scheduling, and/or supply chain operations within manufacturing.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems such as Infor CSI, SAP, Oracle, or comparable platforms.
  • Experience with master production scheduling, material flow, inventory management, and critical supply issues.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate forecasts, inventory, lead times, capacity, and planning performance.
  • Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to solve material shortages, scheduling conflicts, and competing priorities using data and sound judgment.
  • Strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to periodically work in warehouse and production environments and travel between sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting ERP implementations, upgrades, or data conversions.
  • APICS/ASCM CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Experience in a multi-site or matrixed organization.

Location: Rochester, NY. This role can be onsite or hybrid, offering flexibility while maintaining close connection to our manufacturing operations and cross-functional teams.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
