The posting

You are the a key point of contact between the Bank's Singapore operations, the

bank's Head Office IT team, and our engineering team. Requirements may arrive from the bank in Chinese and in English.

You resolve them, document them in both languages, and make sure what gets built is what was agreed.

This is a hands-on specification role, not a coordination role.

What you will do

• Run requirements workshops with bank business users and produce bilingual functional specifications, process flows and user stories

• Work directly with the bank's Head Office IT on interface specifications for the credit-approval system and core banking: field-level data mapping, message formats, error codes, callback contracts. Source material can be in either English or Mandarin; your output must serve both reader types

• Specify integrations with Singapore Govtech and other external data bureau bodies API integrations (e.g. Singpass MyInfo, Singpass Sign, Credit Bureau Singapore) and the bank's document system

• Translate Singapore bank lending regulations into testable requirements.

• Write acceptance criteria and support SIT and UAT, including defect triage and reproducing issues before they reach developers

• Maintain the requirements traceability matrix, and run change control so scope creep is visible, priced and decided rather than absorbed

• Produce client-facing bilingual documentation to banking standards

What we need

• 4-6 years as a business analyst on technical delivery, with at least one project involving system-to-system integration• Fully bilingual, English and Mandarin, in writing as well as speech. You can read a Chinese interface specification, chair a meeting with a Bank HQ IT team, and write a technical document in Chinese that a Chinese banking IT reviewer accepts without redrafting. Comfortable with technical and banking terminology in Chinese.

• Able to read and reason about API specifications, JSON payloads, data models and sequence diagrams. You do not need to code, but you must never be the person in the room who cannot follow the conversation

• Precise written English. Ambiguity in your documents becomes a defect in production

• Willing to travel to Ho Chi Minh City several times a year, typically one week at a time

• Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents preferred

Strongly advantageous

• Domain experience in mortgages, consumer / commercial lending or credit origination

• Prior work with a Fintech, local or China-based

• Familiarity with MAS TRM Guidelines, PDPA, or bank technology governance and outsourcing review processes

• Experience with Jira and Confluence, BPMN or UML, and SQL sufficient to validate data yourself

• Exposure to on-premise enterprise delivery

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
