The posting

Are you ready to make a lasting impact on literacy?

At Really Great Reading, we are building a bright, diverse, and passionate team dedicated to leading the industry in improving literacy scores nationwide. With nearly two decades of leadership bringing the Science of Reading to thousands of schools, we design innovative products, training, and materials that transform how educators teach and how students learn. Here, we empower our team with the tools, support, and professional growth opportunities they need to thrive in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment—where your work truly makes a difference.

Why This Role Matters

Every school district deserves access to literacy solutions that help students become confident, capable readers. At Really Great Reading, connecting educators with the right instructional tools is an essential part of improving literacy outcomes, and our sales team plays a critical role in making those connections possible.

As we continue expanding our reach, we need thoughtful, results-driven sales professionals who understand the challenges school districts face and can translate those needs into meaningful instructional solutions.

The Regional Partner – Inside Sales helps drive this growth by building relationships with K–12 decision-makers, identifying opportunities, and guiding districts through the purchasing process. This role combines proactive business development, consultative selling, and a commitment to helping educators make informed decisions.

Success in this role means consistently achieving revenue goals, building a healthy and predictable sales pipeline, closing at least 35% of overall sales opportunities, converting opportunities into lasting district partnerships, and expanding access to Really Great Reading's literacy solutions.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated, relationship-driven sales professional to join our team as a Regional Partner – Inside Sales.

This is a fully remote, quota-carrying position responsible for generating new business and expanding existing accounts within assigned K–12 school districts serving up to 3,000 students.

You will own the full sales process from identifying prospects and initiating conversations to delivering virtual presentations, navigating district purchasing requirements, and closing business.

The ideal candidate brings direct K–12 sales experience, a strong understanding of consultative sales, the discipline to manage a self-generated pipeline, and the ability to connect instructional needs with solutions that deliver measurable value.

What You’ll Do

Drive Revenue & Business Growth

  • Own and achieve annual revenue targets through new customer acquisition and expansion within existing accounts serving up to 3,000 students.
  • Develop and execute territory and account strategies that support consistent sales growth.
  • Maintain pipeline coverage of 2–3 times annual revenue targets and work toward exceeding 100% annual quota attainment.
  • Identify opportunities to expand district relationships and increase adoption of Really Great Reading solutions.

Build & Manage Your Sales Pipeline

  • Generate approximately 70% of your sales pipeline through proactive outbound prospecting.
  • Execute structured outreach strategies to connect with district leaders and generate approximately 25 qualified meetings each month.
  • Research prospective accounts, identify decision-makers, and uncover instructional needs and purchasing opportunities.
  • Manage opportunities through each stage of the sales cycle, maintaining momentum and clear next steps.

Build Relationships & Deliver Solutions

  • Develop trusted relationships with district administrators, curriculum leaders, and other instructional decision-makers.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand literacy priorities, instructional challenges, funding considerations, and purchasing timelines.
  • Deliver engaging virtual presentations and product demonstrations tailored to district needs.
  • Communicate the value of Really Great Reading solutions through instructional outcomes, implementation considerations, and return on investment.

Manage Sales Execution & Closing

  • Independently manage proposals, pricing discussions, procurement requirements, and contracting for assigned accounts.
  • Navigate district purchasing processes, funding pathways, and approval requirements.
  • Maintain a minimum 35% close rate across the overall sales pipeline.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to address customer questions and support successful purchasing decisions.

Maintain Sales Discipline & Forecast Accuracy

  • Maintain accurate and timely account, activity, and opportunity records in HubSpot, targeting greater than 95% CRM accuracy.
  • Provide reliable weekly sales forecasts and communicate pipeline risks, opportunities, and expected close dates.
  • Monitor conversion rates, prospecting effectiveness, and sales performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Use sales data and customer insights to refine outreach and improve results.

Collaborate Across Teams

  • Partner with Marketing, Pedagogy, and Implementation teams to support customer engagement and successful sales outcomes.
  • Share market insights, customer feedback, and emerging district needs to inform business strategies.
  • Ensure smooth transitions from sales to implementation by communicating customer expectations, commitments, and priorities.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of quota-carrying sales experience, including direct experience selling to K–12 school districts.
  • Demonstrated success meeting or exceeding annual sales quotas.
  • Experience generating new business through outbound prospecting and independently managing the full sales cycle.
  • Working knowledge of K–12 district purchasing processes, decision-making structures, and sales cycles.
  • Experience delivering virtual sales presentations, conducting discovery conversations, and closing customer agreements.
  • Proficiency with HubSpot or a comparable CRM platform, including pipeline management, sales reporting, and forecasting.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple opportunities independently.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Teams, and other virtual collaboration tools.

Required Education / Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in selling in the education field.
  • 3+ years of quota-carrying education or enterprise B2B sales experience with a documented record of annual quota attainment success.
  • Expertise with HubSpot, forecasting tools, structured deal management, and Google Workspace.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience selling curriculum, literacy solutions, educational technology, or other instructional products.
  • Familiarity with education funding sources, district budgets, and instructional purchasing requirements.
  • Understanding of literacy instruction, Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS), and educational performance metrics.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder sales opportunities involving instructional, financial, and administrative decision-makers.

Physical Requirements

This is a fully remote role. Team members work primarily at a computer and regularly participate in video conferencing, digital presentations, document review, and virtual collaboration. The role requires the ability to use standard computer equipment and perform computer-based work for extended periods, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
