The posting

A global power solutions leader is looking for an Application Engineer to deliver engineering execution for power generation projects. You will support customer orders from project award through installation, testing and integrated systems testing.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Deliver mechanical and electrical technical solutions for major power generation projects
  • Manage engineering scope from initiation to on-site delivery for diesel genset systems
  • Work closely with sales to define technical scope during tendering
  • Review and clarify customer specifications and tender documents
  • Prepare technical specifications and define the scope of supply for equipment
  • Coordinate with customers, suppliers and project teams on engineering deliverables
  • Manage engineering documentation and drawing submissions
  • Support site installation, commissioning and integrated systems testing
  • Resolve technical queries and track engineering changes
  • Ensure deliverables meet project requirements and timelines

What You'll Bring

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical or a related engineering discipline and above
  • Engineering experience in power generation, shipping, oil and gas, automation or similar industries
  • Comfortable managing documentation and coordination
  • Experience coordinating with customers and suppliers
  • Exposure to site installation and commissioning is an advantage
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn, even without direct industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering drawings
