The posting

The Ansible team is looking for a leader to head our Specialist Solution Architecture (SSA) practice across APAC.

As Senior Manager, you will mentor senior members to translate complex technical features into clear business results. You will collaborate with Product Engineering, Sales and Marketing to build and deliver demand generation activities, and take ownership of the "technical top-of-funnel." Your goal is to identify new use cases and expansion opportunities throughout the APAC region.

Success in this role requires a blend of cloud-native expertise and sharp business sense. By championing open-source values and operational discipline, you will scale our reach through partners and ecosystems, ensuring the SSA practice drives both customer success and regional revenue.

You must be a strong communicator who enjoys working with people. You will represent the Tech Sales Leadership team daily, bridging the gap between our internal teams and external partners. We need a leader who is passionate about open source and understands the real-world IT challenges facing modern enterprises.

What you will do:

  • Drive pre-sales program execution for the APAC Ansible Platform team.
  • Build, lead and mentor a team of highly skilled and motivated solution architects
  • Facilitate hiring, onboarding, enablement, and capability-building programs and processes
  • Build solution capabilities to match customer TDPs, working closely with APAC specialist teams, partner and sales and services stakeholders
  • Achieve key business metrics and sales targets
  • Promote tight collaboration with multiple Red Hat business functions and ensure adequate technical resource coverage across APAC
  • Help to develop reusable methodologies, tools, and capabilities that combine Red Hat products and services into solutions to solve complex customer challenges
  • Collaborate with Red Hat’s partner & Ecosystem management on partner engagement strategies
  • Work with Red Hat’s APAC Ansible Director to help drive consistency of strategy and execution across APAC

What you will bring:

  • 2-5 years experience leading and developing a team of technical personnel
  • 5-7 years experience as an Individual Contributor in technical solution sales & architecture in an enterprise software and services context
  • Proven track record of building, leading and motivating successful pre-sales or engineering teams
  • Strong technical background as an IT professional and the ability to relate and earn credibility with a technical team
  • Experience with business development and go-to-market strategies in the enterprise software and services space
  • Expertise in either Application Development, Middleware, Cloud and/or infrastructure platforms
  • History of developing relationships at engineering, commercial, and executive levels throughout organisations
  • A balance of strategic, tactical and technical, as well as creative thinking skills
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and documentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent technical training
  • Willingness to travel

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
