The posting

Redpanda is the first runtime and control plane for agent-data interaction — a unified platform that combines streaming, SQL analytics, and intelligent connectivity with the governance layer enterprise AI agents need in production.

Built on infrastructure already trusted by Fortune 500 companies and fast-growing startups, Redpanda enforces governance entirely outside the agent's data path, controlling what agents see, limiting what they do, and capturing a tamper-proof record of everything they touch, so organizations never have to choose between innovation and control.

About the Role:

We're looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to build the shared UI platform and interfaces for Redpanda’s products.

Redpanda Cloud is the front door to everything a customer touches: Redpanda Streaming, Connect, SQL and the Agentic Data Plane. It already composes several of those surfaces at runtime through Module Federation, and that will grow as products move to their own teams and their own release cadences behind one experience. You'll work across the host shell and remote contracts, the testing and observability, and the release path that lets each product ship on its own.

We have strong contributors across our product surfaces and design system, and you'll own meaningful pieces of our UI platform, moving products into their own remotes, ensuring graceful degradation, and reliable release and deployment.

This is a hands-on individual contributor role, based in our growing Warsaw office, alongside the team that owns our commerce path including sign-up, usage-based billing, payments and cloud-marketplace integrations. You'll build customer-facing surfaces in collaboration with frontend and backend engineers across EMEA and the Americas.

Our engineers increasingly build frontend surfaces with AI coding agents doing a large share of the implementation. You'll work that way too, and you'll help make our design system and platform something an agent can consume correctly, unsupervised, and produce something on-brand and accessible.

You Will:

- Own meaningful pieces of the migration of product surfaces into independently deployable microfrontends, which could include moving a subset of functionality into its own remote, versioning its contract with the host, and handling version skew and shared dependencies

- Design, build and operate data-intensive customer-facing surfaces in Redpanda Cloud end to end, from design review through release to production operation

- Build the graceful degradation and fallback behaviour that keeps our Cloud interfaces responsive and usable when a remote has issues

- Maintain release confidence by adding testing at all levels from unit tests to end-to-end, and keeping them fast and trustworthy

- Contribute to the design system and component library, keeping components composable across independently deployed products, and consumable by AI coding agents

- Write RFCs for your own work, review others' designs and code, and contribute to frontend standards

- Work with the backend engineers, who own the high volume low latency data platform, so that the UX works with backend APIs, and information-architecture decisions land well in the UI

- Take part in the on-call rotation for cloud services, and improve its operational health

- Help teammates grow through pairing and code review

You Have:

- 5+ years of experience building and operating production customer-facing web applications with React and TypeScript, including owning features or whole surfaces end to end

- Experience with large-scale frontend architecture where independently deployed pieces have to work together: microfrontends (Module Federation, single-spa, native federation). You understand how versions, shared dependencies and runtime failures play out across those boundaries

- A track record of delivering well-scoped projects with limited guidance, from design and planning through execution and production operation

- Depth in modern frontend fundamentals: component architecture, state management, data fetching, build and runtime performance, and accessibility

- Experience with AI-assisted software development workflows using tools like Claude Code, Cursor or Copilot, not just for code generation but for design, testing, and diagnosing operational issues

- Fluency with frontend testing, unit through end-to-end, and a working sense of what belongs in CI, what belongs in pre-production and what belongs in production monitoring

- A good design sensibility. You care how the product looks, feels and behaves, and you notice when something is off without being told

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; comfortable working in a globally distributed, async environment (e.g., GitHub)

- Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering, product, design and customer-facing stakeholders

Nice to Have:

- Experience with UX for data-intensive products and services

- Experience building commerce or billing surfaces: sign-up, usage-based billing, payments, marketplace integrations

- Depth in one or more of: monorepo tooling at scale (Nx, Turborepo, pnpm workspaces), bundler and federation internals (Vite, Rspack, Webpack), design-system-to-code pipelines (Figma tokens, codegen, visual regression)

- Experience with protobuf, ConnectRPC, gRPC-web, or react-query and similar data-fetching approaches

Join Redpanda if you’d enjoy being part of a fast-moving, diverse, people-first organization with team members around the globe and a culture based on trust, transparency, communication, and kindness. You'll dive into a nimble, high-impact team with the latest AI tools — and the budget to actually use them.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
