JOB SUMMARY The Marketing and Communications Coordinator supports the development, coordination, and execution of Redwood Family Care Network’s internal and external communications, digital marketing, and strategic initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Strategy, this position serves as a key communication resource for enterprise projects, organizational initiatives, brand awareness, and storytelling across Redwood and its affiliated organizations. The Coordinator translates organizational priorities, accomplishments, and strategic initiatives into clear, engaging, and consistent communications for employees, individuals supported, families, community partners, referral sources, and other stakeholders. This position manages and develops content across multiple communication channels, including social media, websites, blogs, vlogs, newsletters, videos, presentations, digital campaigns, and other communication platforms. The role requires a combination of strong writing, project coordination, digital marketing, creative content development, and hands-on video and multimedia production skills. Strategic Project Communications
Partner with the Senior Vice President of Strategy and organizational leaders to develop communication plans supporting company strategic priorities, initiatives, projects, launches, and organizational changes. Coordinate communication timelines, messaging, deliverables, and distribution across multiple departments and affiliated organizations. Develop employee and stakeholder communications that clearly explain the purpose, expectations, milestones, progress, and outcomes of strategic initiatives. Create communication materials including announcements, newsletters, executive updates, talking points, FAQs, one-page resources, digital graphics, and other collateral materials. Maintain strategic communication calendars and project timelines to ensure communications are coordinated, timely, and aligned with organizational priorities. Support communication surrounding new programs, service expansion, organizational milestones, community partnerships, events, and other strategic initiatives.
Social Media Management
Coordinate the day-to-day management of Redwood Family Care Network and affiliated brand social media channels. Develop and maintain a comprehensive social media content calendar. Draft, design, schedule, publish, and monitor social media content consistent with organizational branding, values, and communication standards. Identify opportunities to highlight employees, individuals supported, programs, community involvement, organizational accomplishments, recruitment initiatives, and mission-driven stories. Monitor social media engagement and performance and provide regular reporting on reach, engagement, audience growth, and other relevant metrics. Coordinate with internal leaders and external marketing partners to maintain consistent messaging and brand presentation across platforms. Ensure social media content complies with organizational privacy, confidentiality, consent, HIPAA, and media-use requirements.
Blog, Vlog and Storytelling
Develop and maintain an organizational blog and vlog content calendar. Identify stories and topics that demonstrate Redwood’s mission, services, expertise, culture, innovation, community impact, and strategic priorities. Interview employees, leaders, individuals supported, families, and community partners when appropriate and authorized. Write and edit blog articles, employee spotlights, program features, thought-leadership pieces, success stories, community updates, and other digital content. Coordinate vlog development from concept through recording, editing, approval, and publication. Repurpose long-form content into social media posts, short-form videos, website content, newsletters, and other communication formats.
Video and Multimedia Content Creation
Create short-form and long-form video content for social media, websites, vlogs, employee communications, recruitment, training support, events, and organizational campaigns. Coordinate video shoots, interviews, scripts, storyboards, locations, releases, and production schedules. Edit video and audio content, including captions, graphics, transitions, music, branding, and other production elements. Maintain an organized library of approved photos, videos, graphics, logos, templates, and other digital assets. Ensure all media involving individuals supported, employees, families, or other stakeholders has appropriate authorization and consent prior to use.
Website Management
Coordinate ongoing management and maintenance of Redwood Family Care Network and affiliated organizational websites. Update website content, program descriptions, leadership information, news, locations, service information, employment information, photos, videos, and other digital content. Partner with internal stakeholders and external website or marketing vendors on website enhancements, redesigns, search engine optimization, accessibility, analytics, and technical updates. Regularly review websites for outdated information, broken links, inconsistent branding, accessibility concerns, and opportunities to improve the user experience. Support the development of landing pages and digital content for strategic campaigns, new programs, referral initiatives, recruitment efforts, and service expansion. Monitor website analytics and identify opportunities to increase traffic, engagement, inquiries, referrals, and other desired outcomes.
Brand and Communications Coordination
Support consistent application of Redwood Family Care Network and affiliated organization brand standards. Assist with the development and maintenance of communication templates, presentations, digital graphics, brochures, flyers, signage, promotional materials, and other branded resources. Review communication materials for accuracy, clarity, grammar, tone, branding, and consistency. Serve as a resource to departments requesting marketing and communication support. Coordinate with external marketing, design, website, print, video, and other vendors as assigned. Support organizational events, conferences, community outreach, employee engagement initiatives, and public-facing activities.
Measurement and Continuous Improvement
Track communication and marketing performance using website, social media, email, video, and other available analytics. Develop routine reports summarizing communication activities, audience engagement, digital performance, and campaign results. Identify emerging communication trends, technologies, social platforms, and content strategies that may benefit Redwood. Recommend improvements based on data, stakeholder feedback, organizational priorities, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Digital Media, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent relevant education and professional experience may be considered. One or more years of experience in marketing, communications, social media, digital content, public relations, or a related role preferred (include undergraduate internship and volunteer work) Demonstrated experience developing written and visual content for multiple audiences and communication platforms. Experience managing organizational social media accounts and digital content calendars. Experience with website content management systems and basic website administration. Experience creating, recording, and editing video content. Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, brands, and stakeholders simultaneously. Ability to translate complex organizational or strategic information into clear, concise, audience-appropriate communication. Experience with graphic design and multimedia tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or comparable platforms preferred. Knowledge of social media management, website analytics, SEO, digital marketing, and content performance measurement preferred. Healthcare, human services, intellectual and developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or other regulated-service experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to work collaboratively with executive leadership, operational teams, clinical departments, administrative departments, frontline employees, and external partners. Ability to independently organize work, manage deadlines, and move projects from concept through completion. Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-state organization with multiple brands, service lines, and competing priorities. Ability to appropriately handle confidential, sensitive, and protected information. Understanding of HIPAA, privacy, consent, and confidentiality considerations related to marketing, photography, video, and storytelling within healthcare and human services environments. Ability to receive feedback, revise content quickly, and maintain consistent quality across multiple communication channels. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships throughout all levels of the organization.
