Job Description:

At Regions, the Software Engineer oversees application development, modification, and maintenance of applications. This position monitors system applications, ensures systems run smoothly, and creates reports and other documentation outlining findings/solutions. This position sits within Regions' Technology department.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assists with the development and installation of new hardware and software
  • Installs and configures systems and other software
  • Tests installed software for malfunction detection
  • Identifies and resolves business systems issues
  • Designs and deploys new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operation systems
  • Measures effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems
  • Develops and implements strategies to improve systems
  • Monitors and tests system performance
  • Performs work with some independence of thought, but refers more complex problems to senior associates or supervisor/manager
  • Ensures compliance with risk management programs, rules and regulations, and cybersecurity practices; identifies opportunities for and supports process improvements; applies disciplined change management practices

This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
  • Three (3) years of experience

  • Ability to develop and implement technology solutions to resolve technical challenges

.NET Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a .NET Full Stack Developer with experience developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications. The ideal candidate has experience working with both legacy .NET Framework and modern .NET Core applications and enjoys building scalable solutions while collaborating with cross functional teams. This role requires strong software development skills, troubleshooting abilities, and a willingness to learn modern application technologies and cloud native development practices.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience with .NET Framework 4.x and .NET Core with solid understanding architecture and system evolution
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications including ASP.NET Web Forms, MVC, and Web API into scalable .NET Core solutions
  • Strong expertise in C#, ASP.NET Web Forms, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and REST API design
  • Understanding of enterprise application architecture, including layered design, service-based patterns, and scalable system design
  • Hands on experience designing and deploying cloud native applications using OpenShift
  • Knowledge of containerization using Docker and CI CD pipelines
  • SQL Server development skills including performance tuning, indexing strategies, and complex stored procedures
  • Experience with SSRS and SSIS in enterprise reporting and data integration
  • Front end development using ReactJS including migration from legacy UI frameworks
  • Experience with Entity Framework and Entity Framework Core
  • Experience with Git and GitHub Actions
  • Experience in application monitoring, logging, diagnostics, and issue resolution
  • Experience working in Agile and Scrum teams

Regions will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. Applicants for this position must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

This position is intended to be onsite, now or in the near future. Associates will have regular work hours, including full days in the office three or more days a week. The manager will set the work schedule for this position, including in-office expectations. Regions will not provide relocation assistance for this position, and relocation would be at your expense. This position must be within a reasonable driving distance to Birmingham, AL, Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC.

Pay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role. The target information listed below is based on the Metropolitan Statistical Area Market Range for where the position is located and level of the position.
