Container Yard Technician

Shift: 6:00am - 2:00pm or 7:00am -3:00pm, Monday - Friday

Pay: $17-$19 an hour

We're looking for a reliable, safety-focused team member to maintain, repair, clean, and service containers both in the yard and at customer locations. If you enjoy hands-on work, driving, and working independently while being part of a great team, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Do

Safety First

  • Follow our Plan to Zero (PTZ) commitment—striving for zero accidents.
  • Participate in monthly safety and DOT training discussions.
  • Immediately report unsafe conditions to the Site Manager.
  • Use all required PPE and follow chemical-handling guidelines from the SDS Manual.
  • Understand all safety steps for cart cleaning and follow proper protocols during any incident.

Cart & Yard Maintenance

  • Inspect, repair, clean, and organize containers.
  • Complete service calls and work orders using the Vision Mobile App.
  • Drive assigned routes and provide excellent customer service.
  • Verify completed work and follow route schedules.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  • Follow all company safety practices and DOT requirements.
  • Collaborate with teammates to support daily operations.
  • Safely and efficiently make yard moves using company-owned vehicles.
  • Complete truck inspections, yard checks, and required paperwork.
  • Communicate equipment needs and repairs to management.
  • Collaborate with dispatch, plant management, and site personnel.
  • Load/unload trailers and operate forklifts (training provided).
  • Maintain clean equipment and follow sanitation protocols.

What You Bring

  • Valid Driver's License (CDL not required).
  • Current DOT Physical Card or ability to obtain after employment
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull 25-50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
  • Warehouse, manufacturing, field service, or delivery experience preferred.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, MVR review, and DOT physical requirements.
