The posting

Soms heb je maar even, maar juist dat moment kan veel betekenen. Op de polikliniek Dermatologie zijn de consulten vaak kort en zie je veel verschillende patiënten. Dat vraagt om snel schakelen, goed luisteren en in korte tijd vertrouwen opbouwen. Want achter iedere huidafwijking zit een patiënt met vragen, zorgen en verwachtingen.

Als Physician Assistant of Verpleegkundig Specialist op de polikliniek Dermatologie heb je een belangrijke en afwisselende rol binnen de patiëntenzorg. Je houdt zelfstandig spreekuren en beoordeelt onder andere patiënten met (een verdenking op) huidkanker. Je zet diagnostiek in, stelt behandelplannen op en begeleidt patiënten tijdens en na hun behandeling. Daarnaast voer je zelfstandig passende behandelingen en medische handelingen uit, bijvoorbeeld bij de behandeling van huidafwijkingen en tijdens controles na een oncologische behandeling. Je stemt de zorg af met dermatologen en andere betrokken disciplines. Bij complexe huidproblemen en oncologische aandoeningen werk je bijvoorbeeld samen binnen een multidisciplinair team. Zo combineer je zelfstandig patiëntcontact en medische behandeling met een actieve bijdrage aan de continuïteit en kwaliteit van zorg. We zoeken iemand die zelfstandig kan werken en beschikt over goede klinische en communicatieve vaardigheden.

De focus van de functie ligt op dit moment voornamelijk op de dermatologische oncologie. Dat betekent niet dat je rol daar stopt. We zien ruimte om de functie in de toekomst verder uit te bouwen naar andere gebieden binnen de dermatologie. Afhankelijk van jouw ervaring en interesses en van de behoeften binnen het team, kun je je werkzaamheden en expertise verder verbreden. Daarmee biedt deze functie ruimte om jezelf te ontwikkelen én actief mee te bouwen aan de verdere ontwikkeling van de PA/VS-rol binnen onze polikliniek.

Juist daarom is het belangrijk dat je snel tot de kern komt én oog houdt voor de persoon achter de patiënt. Zeker binnen de oncologische dermatologie kan de periode rondom een diagnose, behandeling of controle spannend en onzeker zijn. Naast je medische expertise bied je patiënten juist dan ook een luisterend oor, duidelijkheid en persoonlijke begeleiding gedurende hun behandeltraject.

Je komt terecht in een betrokken team van ongeveer twintig collega’s. Naast de dagelijkse patiëntenzorg werken we aan verschillende projecten en verbeterinitiatieven. We zoeken daarom iemand die hierin actief wil meedenken, kansen signaleert en samen met collega’s verbeteringen in de praktijk brengt.

We werken nauw samen, helpen elkaar waar nodig en er is ruimte is om vragen te stellen, ideeën te delen en van elkaar te leren. We vinden het belangrijk dat je met plezier naar je werk komt én dat we samen goede patiëntenzorg leveren.

Bij het koffiezetapparaat gaat het zomaar even over de plannen voor de herfstvakantie, tijdens de lunch schuif je aan bij collega’s van een andere afdeling en in de wandelgangen zeggen we elkaar gewoon gedag. Het zijn misschien kleine dingen, maar juist die zorgen voor de fijne, vertrouwde sfeer die zo kenmerkend is voor Reinier de Graaf.

Wij vragen

  • Je bent in het bezit van een PA of VS diploma;
  • Relevante werkervaring binnen dermatologie, oncologie of een vergelijkbaar specialisme is een pre.
