  • Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, including gas chromatographs (GCs), spectrometers, ICP instruments, hot plates, and other analytical testing equipment.
  • Conduct lubrication analysis, acid/base titration testing (including TAN), fuel dilution testing, and other laboratory procedures.
  • Sort, log, organize, and prepare samples for testing while maintaining accurate records and data entry.
  • Review, interpret, and validate laboratory results to ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Analyze test results and provide recommendations that help improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Coordinate outsourced testing to ensure samples are properly routed and results are received in a timely manner.
  • Assist with the management and ongoing development of the oil analysis program.
  • Partner with Reliability Services to develop customer sampling programs, including onsite sampling and remote sampling kits.
  • Communicate with internal teams, external customers, and partner laboratories regarding testing procedures, results, questions, and feedback.
  • Identify opportunities to improve laboratory processes, reduce costs, increase efficiency, and expand analytical services.
  • Follow established work instructions, laboratory procedures, and all applicable safety requirements.

What We're Looking For

Required qualifications and skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, reliable laboratory results.
  • Basic mathematical skills and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional, customer-focused approach when interacting with coworkers, management, and customers.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing to a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to distinguish colors as required for laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Previous laboratory or analytical testing experience.
  • Experience operating laboratory instrumentation and analytical testing equipment.
  • Experience with oil analysis, lubrication fundamentals, and industrial fluid testing.
  • Understanding of metallurgy and the relationship between fluid condition and equipment reliability.
  • Industry certifications such as OMA, CLS, MLA, or similar credentials.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
