The posting

2 positions · Troubleshooting · Test setups · New components · R&D

Do you enjoy figuring out why something does not work? RENTEQ Automotive is looking for two technicians who want to troubleshoot electric vehicles and machines, set up test setups and take part when we develop and test new components. You do not need many years of experience. What matters most is that you are hands on, curious and eager to learn.

About RENTEQ

RENTEQ Automotive is a Danish company at the forefront of electrifying existing diesel machines and vehicles. We develop and produce conversion kits for authorised dealers and end customers, and we work with everything from vans to heavy off highway machines such as dumpers and excavators. We are a growing startup with short decision paths, and our workshop and offices under one roof in Dragør.

The job

You will join our technical team in R&D and work closely with engineers, software developers and mechanics. You will be where things are tested and tried out in practice. One day you are troubleshooting a van, the next you are helping build a test setup for a new component. The work is mainly based in Dragør, but tasks at other locations may occasionally come up.

Your tasks will include:

• Troubleshoot electrical systems and wiring harnesses on vehicles and machines

• Set up and maintain test setups, both on the bench and in the vehicles

• Help test new components and get them installed and integrated

• Use diagnostic tools and CAN logs to find faults

• Support engineers and software developers with the hands on work during testing

• Document faults, solutions and test results so the rest of the team can use them.

Is this you?

You may be newly qualified or have a few years of experience from a workshop or similar. We care more about your troubleshooting skills and willingness to learn than about how long you have been in the trade.

• Trained as a car mechanic, mechatronics technician, truck mechanic, construction machinery mechanic, electrician or similar

• Experience with electrical troubleshooting on vehicles or machines

• Comfortable using a multimeter and diagnostic equipment

• Hands on, systematic and good at keeping things organised

• Curious and quick to learn new things

• Good English skills, Danish is an advantage

It is a plus if you know some of the following, but it is not a requirement:

• CAN bus and tools such as PCAN, SavvyCAN or similar

• Electric or hybrid vehicles, or high voltage systems

• A driving licence for larger vehicles.

What we offer

• A varied job on many different vehicles and machines

• The chance to learn a lot about electric vehicles, CAN and high voltage

• Close collaboration with engineers and software developers, where asking questions and helping each other comes naturally

• Access to test equipment and modern diagnostic tools

• An informal team in a growing startup

• Good facilities, shared lunch and easy access by car or public transport.

Salary

Salary is set individually based on gender neutral criteria: education, work experience and other qualifications. We are happy to share the salary range for your profile before the first interview.

Practical information

• Number of positions: 2

• Employment: Permanent, full time

• Department: R&D

• Location: Mainly on site in Dragør, with some flexibility by agreement

• Start date: As soon as possible.

How to apply

Send your CV and a few lines about yourself and your troubleshooting experience to [email protected]. We review applications on an ongoing basis.

If you have questions about the position, feel free to contact Louie Lucas Bisgaard Nyeland at [email protected] or +45 27812385.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
