The posting

Are you passionate about battery technology? RENTEQ Automotive is looking for someone to lead our testing of battery cells and modules, and to make us ready to switch quickly when new battery technologies reach the market. Many years of experience is not the most important thing. What matters most is that you have a solid background in battery technology, from either work or studies.

About RENTEQ

RENTEQ Automotive is a Danish company at the forefront of electrifying existing diesel machines and vehicles. We develop and produce conversion kits for authorised dealers and end customers, and we work with everything from vans to heavy off highway machines. We are a growing startup with short decision paths and high professional ambitions.

The job

Batteries are at the core of our products, and the technology is moving fast. You will have the main responsibility for our battery testing and for making us ready for new cell types, formats and suppliers. You will also be an important technical voice when we decide how batteries are used in our systems. You will be part of R&D and work closely with our engineers.

Your tasks will include:

• Plan and carry out tests of battery cells and modules, such as capacity, cycle testing, performance and thermal behaviour

• Build test setups and processes so we can quickly evaluate and adopt new battery technologies

• Help select and purchase test equipment and tools

• Document test results and turn them into clear recommendations

• Be a technical sparring partner on cell selection and integration into our systems

• Keep yourself and the team up to date on developments in battery technology

• Act as the technical link in the design of battery enclosures

• Communicate with external test facilities when needed.

Is this you?

Your background can come from industry or from your studies. You may be a recent graduate with a strong theoretical foundation, or have hands on experience with battery systems. Both profiles are interesting to us.

• Background in battery technology, electrochemistry, energy engineering or similar

• Knowledge of testing battery cells or modules

• Understanding of safe battery handling

• Interest in test equipment and test methods

• Structured and thorough in your documentation

• Good at explaining technical topics so both engineers and other colleagues understand them

• Good English skills, Danish is an advantage.

What we offer

• Main responsibility for an area that is central to our products

• The opportunity to build our battery testing from the ground up

• Influence on technology choices and equipment purchases

• Close collaboration with dedicated engineers in an informal environment

• Good facilities in Dragør with easy access by car or public transport.

Salary

Salary is set individually based on gender neutral criteria: education, work experience and other qualifications. We are happy to share the salary range for your profile before the first interview.

Practical information

• Employment: Permanent, full time

• Department: R&D

• Location: Mainly on site in Dragør, with some flexibility by agreement

• Start date: As soon as possible.

How to apply

Send your CV and a few lines about your background in battery technology to [email protected]. We review applications on an ongoing basis.

If you have questions about the position, feel free to contact Louie Lucas Bisgaard Nyeland at [email protected] or +45 27812385.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
