Subway Operations Trainer

RESSCO QSR (www.ressco.com) is seeking an experienced Subway Operations Trainer to support multiple Subway restaurant locations in the Livingston County, Michigan area. This role is ideal for a former Subway Manager or Subway Operations Leader who has a passion for coaching, developing employees, and helping restaurant teams achieve operational excellence.

The Trainer will work directly with Sandwich Artists, Shift Leaders, and Store Managers to ensure team members are properly trained on Subway standards, food preparation procedures, customer service expectations, food safety requirements, and daily operating procedures. The successful candidate will serve as a field trainer, mentor, and resource for our restaurant teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Training & Development

  • Train newly hired Sandwich Artists on Subway operational procedures and brand standards.
  • Conduct hands-on training in food preparation, sandwich building, customer service, food safety, and restaurant cleanliness.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to employees and store management teams.
  • Develop training plans to improve employee performance and consistency across locations.
  • Reinforce Subway operational standards and best practices.

Operational Support

  • Perform scheduled visits to Subway locations to assess training needs and operational compliance.
  • Work directly alongside restaurant teams during peak periods to provide real-time coaching and support.
  • Ensure employees are following proper food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines.

Performance & Compliance

  • Monitor adherence to Subway recipes, portioning, and food preparation standards.
  • Evaluate employee performance and provide recommendations to management.
  • Assist in preparing locations for inspections, evaluations, and operational reviews.
  • Document training completion and employee progress

Qualifications:

Required

  • Previous experience as a Subway Store Manager, Subway Assistant Manager, or Subway Multi-Unit Leader.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Subway operating procedures, systems, and customer service standards.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between store locations.
  • .
  • Ability to train and motivate employees at varying experience levels.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.

Compensation:

  • Competitive market-rate contractor compensation.
  • This position is an independent contractor (1099) position
