Are you an ambitious and talented chef looking to take your culinary career to the next level? Zén, a 3-Michelin-starred restaurant in Singapore, is seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef de Partie (CDP) to join our exceptional kitchen team.

At Zén, we offer a gastronomic journey that blends the finest local ingredients with world-class delicacies, inspired by Nordic cuisine with Japanese influences. Our carefully curated tasting menu is served in a stunning three-storey shophouse, where every dish reflects our commitment to precision, creativity, and culinary excellence.

Key Responsibilities for Chef de Partie at Zén

  • Prepare and Execute Dishes to Perfection: Take responsibility for the preparation and execution of dishes at your assigned station, ensuring exceptional quality, consistency, and presentation in accordance with Zén's standards.
  • Manage Your Assigned Station: Oversee the daily operations of your section, ensuring all ingredients, equipment, and mise en place are properly prepared for smooth and efficient service.
  • Maintain Culinary Excellence: Work closely with the Head Chef, Sous Chefs, and other kitchen team members to uphold the restaurant's culinary vision and deliver an outstanding dining experience.
  • Train and Mentor Junior Staff: Guide and support Demi Chefs de Partie and junior kitchen team members, sharing knowledge and maintaining high standards of kitchen discipline and professionalism.
  • Maintain Cleanliness and Hygiene: Ensure strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards, keeping your station clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Manage Ingredients and Minimize Waste: Ensure the proper handling, storage, and rotation of ingredients while maintaining freshness, maximizing yield, and minimizing food waste.
  • Contribute to Menu Development: Participate in the development and refinement of dishes, contributing ideas and techniques that align with Zén's culinary philosophy and standards.
  • Ensure Smooth Kitchen Operations: Monitor preparation and service requirements, maintain effective communication with the team, and assist other stations when necessary.
