Role Summary

As a Project Engineer II on our EPC Client Services team, you will support utility-scale solar, BESS, substation, and related infrastructure projects that move the energy transition forward. The team works directly with EPC firms across development, detailed engineering, and construction phases. Reporting to a Senior Project Manager, you will manage defined scopes, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, track schedules and budgets, maintain document control, and identify risks early. On smaller projects, you may serve as the day-to-day lead with Project Manager oversight. The role calls for strong organization, reliable follow-through, and sound judgment, along with the collaboration that keeps clients and project teams aligned.

Duties & Responsibilities

Core Technical & Functional Responsibilities

  • Manage defined project scopes under the direction of a Project Manager, ensuring alignment with contract requirements and client expectations.
  • Coordinate internal discipline teams and external subconsultants to support timely and accurate deliverables.
  • Maintain organized document control, including meeting minutes, action items, RFIs, submittals, and record drawings.
  • Participate in client, consultant, and subcontractor meetings; prepare agendas, document key decisions, and track action items.
  • Support proposal development through coordination of scope inputs, schedule assumptions, and project data.
  • Apply established project management procedures with sound judgment and increasing independence.

Project & Portfolio Execution

  • Track project schedules, budgets, and progress against milestones; identify risks or scope changes early and escalate as appropriate.
  • Support preparation and submission of monthly invoicing and assist with financial tracking.
  • Support workload planning by helping prioritize deliverables across multiple concurrent projects.

Quality, Standards & Compliance

  • Review deliverables for completeness and conformance to project standards prior to submission.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads to confirm deliverables meet client standards and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure alignment between client requirements, project scope, and internal execution plans.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a day-to-day point of contact for internal team members and support client communications under the direction of a Project Manager.
  • Coordinate with discipline leads, drafting, and project management teams so tasks are clearly defined, assigned, and delivered on schedule.
  • Communicate status updates, schedule changes, risks, and scope clarifications clearly and promptly.
  • Help junior project engineers and support staff learn project processes and documentation standards.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Perform essential duties including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned or directed.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a closely related field, or an associate’s degree in a related field plus substantial relevant industry experience.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in an engineering consulting, renewable energy, or similar environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to track schedules and basic project financials and support invoicing under Project Manager direction.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
