  • Create and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, material details, and construction requirements for assigned products.
  • Coordinate prototyping, sample reviews, and iterative design refinements to validate construction, materials, performance, and product functionality.
  • Identify and resolve design and manufacturing challenges early in development to ensure products can be consistently produced to the intended design and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with factories, overseas development teams, and suppliers to evaluate materials, construction methods, components, and manufacturing feasibility.
  • Review factory costing and BOMs, negotiate costs, and identify cost-engineering opportunities while protecting product quality and design integrity.

You have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Product Development, Industrial Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
  • 6–8+ years of product design and development experience, preferably with technical packs, bags, outdoor equipment, or performance soft goods.
  • Strong knowledge of pack and bag construction, materials, hardware, components, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience developing technical specifications, Bills of Materials (BOMs), prototypes, and product costing.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams, suppliers, and manufacturing partners to meet development timelines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, meeting facilitation, and issue escalation skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, judgment, and decision-making skills, with the ability to balance strategic priorities and technical details.
  • Exceptional organization, attention to detail, and time management, with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards.

You might have:

  • Experience developing premium technical packs and bags for outdoor, fishing, or performance consumers.
  • Knowledge of technical materials, waterproofing, durability, ergonomics, and functional design.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
