The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Media Manager, Retail Media Network - Mass & Club based in the United States.

The Senior Media Manager will lead retail media strategy and activation across Mass and Club retail customers, connecting brand objectives and customer priorities to measurable commercial outcomes. This role combines strategic planning, investment management, and hands-on campaign optimization to drive incremental sales and profitable growth. You will develop integrated, full-funnel media strategies spanning retail search, onsite and offsite advertising, social, and emerging commerce opportunities. Working closely with Sales, Omnichannel, Brand, Finance, Content, and Analytics teams, you will ensure media investments support customer plans and business priorities. You will also guide agency and retail media partners, strengthen performance measurement, and turn insights into actionable recommendations. This fully remote opportunity is suited to a commercially minded media leader who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Accountabilities

  • Lead annual retail media planning, campaign strategy, activation, optimization, budget pacing, and performance reporting across priority Mass and Club customers.
  • Translate customer plans, joint business planning priorities, assortment, product innovation, promotions, and key selling moments into integrated retail media calendars.
  • Develop balanced full-funnel strategies connecting demand creation and demand capture through retail search, onsite display, offsite media, social, and other commerce opportunities.
  • Recommend investment allocations by retailer, brand, product, and campaign objective, reallocating budgets based on business performance, customer priorities, and investment economics.
  • Maintain effective always-on retail search coverage to support priority brands and products against high-intent consumer demand.
  • Monitor sales, traffic, conversion, market share, new-to-brand and household penetration, incrementality, profitability, and media efficiency to evaluate campaign effectiveness.
  • Identify and address performance issues, including budget pacing gaps, search coverage weaknesses, out-of-stocks, low conversion, and underperforming tactics.
  • Prepare clear, executive-ready performance reports highlighting results, key drivers, insights, business implications, and recommended actions.
  • Collaborate with Omnichannel leadership and customer teams to align retail media strategy with customer priorities and commercial plans.
  • Coordinate media investments with digital shelf and content readiness to ensure priority products are discoverable, available, and positioned to convert.
  • Manage agency, platform, retail media network, and technology partners, providing direction on campaign briefs, setup standards, optimization, budget pacing, issue resolution, and performance accountability.
  • Partner with Sales, Omnichannel, Brand, Content, Finance, and Analytics teams to align investments, overcome execution challenges, and deliver shared business outcomes.
  • Establish and manage a structured test-and-learn roadmap covering audiences, search strategies, advertising formats, creative, bidding, retailer capabilities, and measurement.
  • Scale successful initiatives, discontinue or redesign low-performing activities, and reduce unnecessary or duplicative spending.
  • Identify investment risks and opportunities early, providing recommendations supported by clear financial and commercial rationale.
  • A bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Advertising, Digital Commerce, Analytics, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • At least 8 years of experience supporting Mass and Club customers and integrating retail media with customer, brand, promotional, and joint business plans.
  • Progressive experience in retail media, shopper marketing, digital media, eCommerce, customer marketing, or a related discipline, preferably within consumer packaged goods or retail.
  • Hands-on experience developing, activating, optimizing, and measuring retail media campaigns across major retailer platforms or retail media networks.
  • Experience managing agency and platform partners and influencing cross-functional teams without direct reporting authority.
  • Knowledge of incrementality, marketing return on investment, household and new-buyer growth, sales lift, digital shelf performance, and commerce measurement.
  • Deep understanding of retail media networks, retail search, onsite and offsite advertising, full-funnel planning, bidding strategies, audience development, and campaign optimization.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with the ability to connect media investments to customer priorities, product economics, incremental sales, and profitable growth.
  • Advanced analytical skills and the ability to interpret multiple performance indicators, identify meaningful trends, and translate findings into practical decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to deliver concise, executive-ready performance reports.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple customers, campaigns, budgets, and competing priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.
  • Sound business judgment and decision-making skills, including the ability to act effectively when data is incomplete or performance signals conflict.
  • A strategic mindset that balances immediate campaign execution with longer-term customer, brand, and omnichannel growth objectives.
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build productive relationships across internal teams, agencies, and retail media partners.
  • A results-driven attitude, with strong ownership, accountability, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
  • A commitment to safety, ethical conduct, respect, teamwork, and contributing to an inclusive workplace and positive community impact.
  • Fully remote work opportunity.
  • Annual base salary range of $127,700 to $185,150 USD.
  • Eligibility for an 18% annual incentive bonus, subject to business financial goals, individual performance goals, and applicable plan administration guidelines.
  • Opportunity to lead strategic retail media initiatives across major Mass and Club customers.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Omnichannel, Brand, Finance, Content, and Analytics teams.
  • An environment that values continuous learning, innovation, teamwork, respect, and professional development.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
