The role serves as the on-island investment accounting subject-matter expert, partnering with Bermuda Finance leadership, global Investment Accounting, Investments, Risk, Actuarial, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Compliance, and external service providers to deliver accurate reporting, strong controls, and timely responses to the Bermuda Monetary Authority. What you will do

Review results across asset classes, reporting bases, systems, and legal entities; analyze drivers and variances; and ensure reporting is complete, accurate, timely, and consistent.
  • Technical accounting and complex transactions: Evaluate accounting and reporting implications of new investment strategies, reinsurance structures, funds-withheld arrangements, trusts, portfolio transfers, derivatives, private assets, structured investments, and other complex transactions. Prepare technical analyses and coordinate conclusions across applicable GAAP and Bermuda statutory frameworks.
  • BMA and audit engagement: Serve as a primary investment accounting contact for Bermuda regulatory examinations, information requests, external audit, internal audit, and control reviews. Participate in meetings with Bermuda leadership and the BMA, explain methodologies and conclusions, and coordinate timely, accurate responses.
  • Controls, governance, and data integrity: Own and enhance the control environment over Bermuda investment accounting and reporting. Establish reconciliations, review standards, documentation, issue escalation, and evidence retention; identify data or process risks; and drive sustainable remediation.
  • Cross-functional partnership and operating model: Partner with global Investment Accounting and Bermuda-based Finance, Investments, Portfolio Management, ALM, Risk, Actuarial, Structured Finance, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Technology, and Operations. Clarify ownership, align portfolio and legal-entity data, and support an effective on-island operating model while maintaining enterprise standards.
  • Process improvement and capability building: Lead initiatives that improve reporting quality, timeliness, transparency, automation, and scalability. Develop procedures, facilitate walkthroughs, transfer knowledge, mentor team members, and strengthen Bermuda-specific investment accounting capability across the wider organization.
  • Maintain regular and predictable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
