JOB SUMMARY:

Performs professional duties in the creation and maintenance of accounting records the verification and documentation of financial transactions or the preparation and management of agency budgets.

JOB DUTIES:

15% Initiates HR related forms and requests for assigned cost centers and coordinates with the College HR Payroll Liaison HRPL to support the hiring and onboarding of student and part-time employees Supports payroll and timekeeping processes by assisting cost center managers with payroll review and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with university policies

25% Coordinates travel arrangements and related documentation in accordance with university and state travel policies Processes travel authorizations reimbursements and related financial documentation for faculty staff and guests Maintains organized records and supporting documentation for financial and operational transactions Provides administrative and operational support to ensure efficient operations and compliance with applicable policies and procedures

30% Coordinates purchasing and payment activities for assigned cost centers using approved university procurement methods and financial systems Processes and monitors financial transactions including purchase orders procurement card activity invoices reimbursements and related fiscal documentation to ensure timely and compliant processing Assists with vendor setup and registration as needed and coordinates ordering of supplies equipment and related materials Maintains required inventory and asset tracking records and ensures appropriate documentation in accordance with university and state procurement policies

30% Provides financial coordination and fiscal oversight for assigned cost centers Supports leadership in annual budget development and assist with ongoing budget monitoring and financial forecasting Performs account reconciliation and reviews revenue and expenditure activity across financial systems working with appropriate campus offices to resolve discrepancies Maintains internal tracking tools and prepares financial reports to support planning operational decision making and compliance requirements

Minimum Requirements:

A high school diploma and professional experience in a related area such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.

Not responsible for supervising employees.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

Expected Salary Range

$45,300.00 - $49,000.00

Salary is dependent upon several factors including, but not limited to, a candidate's previous experience, knowledge, skills and performance in accordance with Clemson's compensation guidelines.

ESSENTIAL PERSONNEL LEVEL:

Essential Support - In the event of an emergency closure or modified operations, this position is necessary to maintain/resume essential support functions, deliver direct care services, and/or provide recovery support before normal operations resume. Some positions in this category may be required to work remotely or be on-call.
