Join us to help deliver customer success and strengthen our purpose-driven, high-performance culture.

Position Profile

As a software engineering intern, you will apply your education to meaningful projects in a collaborative Agile environment, supported by a technical mentor and experienced engineers. You will help design, develop, test, and improve reliable software by building features, troubleshooting issues, and evaluating software alternatives to deliver high-quality solutions. The internship will build your technical and professional skills through project work, interaction with multiple levels of management, and an end-of-summer presentation to the executive team. You will be challenged to learn quickly, work independently, and contribute to a positive, high-performing team. You will also participate in team-building activities and social events in the Rocky Mountain region.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • As an intern, you will work closely with your mentor and other employees within the department to apply your knowledge and grow your skills both technically and professionally.
  • Work with a fast-paced group of professionals to apply engineering and industry concepts to solve real challenges.
  • Develop, test, debug, and improve software components and applications that support business and technology objectives.
  • Work in an Agile environment and contribute to Agile ceremonies.
  • Recommend solutions to problems and issues that impact the project.
  • Determine and examine software alternatives.
  • Design, develop, debug, document, and demonstrate your work.
  • Present a project overview and summary to the executive team at the end of the internship.

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Working toward a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or enrolled to continue their education in an accredited graduate program.
  • Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire.
  • Object-oriented programming experience.
  • Have a firm grasp of basic data structures and algorithmic techniques.
  • Are a quick and self-directed learner. We provide close support and mentorship, but you will have ownership over the design, plan, and implementation of what you build.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Are fluent in one or more modern object-oriented programming languages
  • Java, JavaScript, C++, Python, HTML
  • Scripting Language: PowerShell, Windows batch(.bat), Shell scripting language
  • Linux command line proficiency. Experience with openSUSE or RHEL-family distributions preferred.
  • Understanding of containerization and sandboxing concepts (Docker, Podman)
  • Experience using AI development frameworks such as LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies.
  • REST APIs.
  • Agile/Scrum software development experience.
  • General prototyping skills.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills, with a problem-solver’s attitude.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a collaborative team environment.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
