Ph.d.-stipendium: Avanceret billeddiagnostik til forbedret kirurgisk behandling af hudkræft

Så har du nu mulighed for at blive en del af et forskningsprojekt i krydsfeltet mellem klinisk forskning og ingeniørvidenskab.

Det drejer sig om en fuldfinansieret ph.d.-stilling med ansættelse ved Afdeling for Plastikkirurgi og Brandsårsbehandling i samarbejde med Øre-, Næse- og Halskirurgisk & Audiologisk Klinik, Rigshospitalet, mens ph.d.-uddannelsen gennemføres ved DTU Compute som en del af Technical University Hospital (TUH).

Om AIMICS AIMICS (AI-driven Multidimensional Imaging Platform to Improve Cancer Surgery) er et tværfagligt forsknings- og innovationsprojekt støttet med 30 millioner kroner af Innovationsfonden. Projektets vision er at udvikle en AI-baseret platform, som under operation kan hjælpe kirurgen med at vurdere, om tumoren er fjernet radikalt. Ph.d.-projektet vil arbejde med avancerede billedteknologier såsom 3D-ultralyd og midt-infrarød billeddannelse med fokus på forbedret kirurgisk behandling af hudkræft.

Som ph.d.-studerende vil du varetage patientinklusion i et klinisk studie og arbejde tæt sammen med ingeniør-ph.d.-studerende på DTU, der udvikler modeller til AI-analyser. Samtidigt vil du også arbejde sammen med ph.d.-studerende fra ØNH, som arbejder med samme teknologier til vurdering af resektionsrande ved hoved-hals kræft. Målet er at udvikle kliniske beslutningsstøttesystemer, der kan forbedre kirurgisk præcision, reducere antallet af reoperationer og forbedre patienternes behandling.

Forskningsmiljø Du bliver ansat på Afdeling for Plastikkirurgi og Brandsårsbehandling, Rigshospitalet og indskrevet som ph.d.-studerende ved DTU Compute som en del af Technical University Hospital (TUH). Projektet udføres i samarbejde med Øre-, Næse- og Halskirurgisk & Audiologisk Klinik, Rigshospitalet, samt Danmarks Tekniske Universitet (DTU Compute og DTU Electro) og start-up-virksomheden 3Sonic. Du bliver en del af det tværfaglige forskningsmiljø i SURGiC, hvor klinikere og ingeniører arbejder tæt sammen om udvikling og klinisk implementering af nye diagnostiske teknologier.

Udover ph.d.-projektet forventes du at bidrage til undervisning af medicin- og ingeniørstuderende samt formidling af forskningsresultater på nationale og internationale konferencer. Du vil desuden opnå erfaring med kliniske forskningsprotokoller, avancerede billedteknologier og translationel medicoteknologisk forskning.

Ansættelse Ansættelsen sker ved Afdeling for Plastikkirurgi og Brandsårsbehandling, Rigshospitalet efter gældende overenskomst for læger. Forventet ansættelsesstart er 1. januar 2027 eller efter aftale.
