Build ESG systems that matter

RISE and Synacy are a founder-led, product-driven internet infrastructure group on a mission to accelerate digital connectivity in the Philippines. As we scale, sustainability is moving from principle to practice—embedded in how we deploy networks, engage communities, and govern ourselves.

We’re hiring our first ESG Reporting Manager to design and lead our ESG reporting framework from the ground up. This role will shape how we track, communicate, and improve our environmental, social, and governance performance—ensuring our reporting meets global standards while reflecting who we are.

The Role

Reporting to the CFO, you’ll be the company’s lead for ESG reporting, working across finance, operations, engineering, and community engagement. You’ll design systems, ensure compliance, and tell our ESG story with accuracy, transparency, and impact. This is a unique opportunity to join at the build stage—when your influence will shape the long-term sustainability foundation of a fast-growing company.

This role will design and implement our reporting systems from the ground up, ensuring future readiness for investor and regulatory requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Design and own the ESG reporting framework, aligned with ISO 14001 and global standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFC Performance Standards)
  • Prepare quarterly and annual ESG metrics reporting to meet the requirements of international lenders and investors, including delivery against agreed ESG action plans.
  • Deliver accurate, timely ESG reports for internal, regulatory, and investor audiences
  • Partner with teams across the business to source, verify, and consolidate ESG data
  • Influence operations to integrate ESG into day-to-day processes and decision-making
  • Develop ESG-related policies, procedures, and data collection tools
  • Lead the ISO 14001 certification process, coordinate audits, and ensure ongoing compliance
  • Serve as the central contact point for ESG matters, internally and externally
  • Communicate progress and risks to executives, regulators, and partners
  • Monitor ESG performance, identify opportunities, and support management in setting goals
  • Anticipate evolving regulations and investor expectations to keep the company future-ready

Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in ESG reporting, sustainability, or environmental & social performance, ideally in telecom, infrastructure, or adjacent industries
  • Familiarity with GRI, SASB, TCFD, IFC Performance Standards and other ESG frameworks
  • Hands-on experience with ISO 14001 audits and compliance
  • Track record of engaging stakeholders and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills—able to translate ESG data for technical, executive, and external audiences
  • Strong cross-cultural collaboration skills – able to work effectively with diverse teams, and adapt communication styles across cultural contexts

Good-to-haves

  • Experience with GHG Protocol reporting and/or Science-Based Targets (SBTi) alignment
  • Familiarity with ESG reporting platforms (e.g., Workiva, Enablon, Sphera, Datamaran)
  • Exposure to supplier ESG assessments and sustainability due diligence
  • Experience contributing to integrated reports or sustainability reports for investors
  • Familiarity with materiality assessments and stakeholder engagement best practices
  • Understanding of governance risk areas such as anti-corruption, compliance, and data privacy

Why join us?

  • Shape the ESG foundation of one of the Philippines’ fastest-growing ISPs
  • Play a pivotal role in shaping ESG disclosures as we expand our investor base and align with international sustainability standards
  • Join a high-caliber, mission-driven team solving real infrastructure problems
  • A culture where influence matters more than hierarchy
  • Competitive compensation, local HMO health coverage, and flexible work arrangements
  • Open to candidates based outside the Philippines—we’ll support relocation planning to Manila

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
