The posting

Job Overview: Riseup Labs is looking for experienced QA Automation Engineers (SDET level) to join a North American SaaS product team. The team is moving from heavy manual testing to a mature automation framework. You will build and maintain reliable Playwright test suites, add them to CI/CD pipelines, and work inside an existing Node.js and TypeScript codebase. This role is for engineers who understand why a test matters, show measurable impact, and raise gaps and improvements on their own initiative.

Requirements & Responsibilities:

  • Design, build and maintain automated end-to-end test suites using Playwright.
  • Add automated tests to CI pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Read and work within the existing Node.js and TypeScript codebase.
  • Deliver automation that holds up when the QA Lead spot-checks it, not just closed tickets.
  • Show before-and-after impact, such as changes in test coverage, defect rates and release stability.
  • Focus tests on what they protect for the product, not just on meeting the spec.
  • Point out gaps, risks and improvements found while working a ticket.
  • Use AI tools to speed up test planning, test creation and maintenance of automation assets.
  • Join daily standups and work with the team asynchronously on Slack.

Additional Requirements:

  • Mid-level to senior test automation experience (SDET level). Not suitable for entry-level candidates.
  • Hands-on production experience with Playwright.
  • Experience adding automated tests to CI pipelines using Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
  • Comfortable reading and understanding Node.js code. Exposure to JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Strong spoken and written English, clear enough for daily standups and async Slack communication with a North American team.
  • Able to work a full shift in US Pacific Time hours, consistently.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to .NET or Ruby. Part of the platform runs on Windows and .NET.
  • Experience on a team moving from manual testing to a mature automation framework.
  • Experience testing SaaS products specifically, not just general web QA.
  • Practical experience using AI agents or tools in QA workflows.
  • Links to real work you can share, such as a live product, public repository or case study.

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in CSE / EEE / IT or related fields.

Workplace: Remote

Working Hours:

  • US Business Hours : 10 AM to 7 PM Pacific Standard Time
  • Bangladesh Hours: 11 PM to 8 AM Bangladesh Standard Time

Salary: Negotiable (Based on experience and skills)
