Hourly Position - 2 Positions
Requirements:
- Must hold a Kentucky Experienced Surface Miner Certification with up-to-date retraining.
- Must have at least 6 months of experience working at a preparation plant (prep plant).
- Must have experience operating heavy equipment, including equipment such as a gob truck.
- Must have general knowledge of prep plant equipment and operations.
- Must be able to lift more than 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Must be able to climb and work from ladders, catwalks, and man-lifts.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and climb stairways.
- Must be able to work at elevated heights and changing conditions.
- Must be able to adapt to changes in productivity and perform other essential duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Duties include, but are not limited to:
1. Perform maintenance work on a variety of plant equipment, including pumps, dryers, screens, cyclones, piping, and related equipment.
2. Perform maintenance work on conveyors and material handeling chutes.
3. Perform welding and operate oxy-acetylene torches.
4. Heavy equipment operation (assists in maintenance work)
5. Stage parts and prepare tools and equipment for upcoming maintenance work
6. Perform fabrication and related maintenance work.
7. Manual handle equipment, parts, tools, and materials.
8. Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor or plant manager.
Work Schedule:
Work schedules may vary based on plant needs.
- Four-day schedule: Friday through Monday, 12-hour shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm.
- Five-day schedule: Monday thought Friday, 8-hour shifts, with rotating day to second shifts or straight third shift.
- Overtime may be required by the supervisor or plant manager as needed.
Position Summary:
The successful candidate must have general knowledge of preparation plant equipment and maintenance operations. This position requires the ability to regularly lift more than 50 pounds, work at heights, climb ladders and stairways, and operate from catwalks and man-lifts. The employee must also be comfortable working in confined spaces and be able to respond effectively to changes in production needs.
