The posting

About Rivian Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract. As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations. Role Summary The Rivian Supply Chain team is looking for highly motivated and strategic purchasing leaders to architect our capital expenditure landscape. As a Lead Global Supply Manager, you are an advanced individual contributor and subject matter expert responsible for the strategic sourcing, supplier selection, and lifecycle management for high-visibility CapEx projects. In this role, you lead the commercial relationship for our most complex domains, partnering closely with cross-functional leadership to drive strategies that align with broader business objectives. You act autonomously to manage several large projects with significant spend and complexity, navigating changing economic and political landscapes to prevent production risks and secure competitive advantages. You are responsible for ensuring Rivian meets aggressive cost targets and timelines while solving systemic challenges that affect long-term project health. We are looking for an expert thinker who is passionate about optimizing the sourcing process and driving organizational stability through advanced negotiation, creative non-monetary tradeoffs, and proactive risk prevention. This position is based onsite in Plymouth, MI or Atlanta, GA and reports to the Senior Manager, Global Supply Management, Capex. Responsibilities Sourcing: Lead several large projects with medium-high spend; navigate economic and political landscapes to generate solutions that lead to a neutral or positive position for Rivian. Systems and Process: Act as an expert user of supply chain systems; proactively identify complex functionality improvements and lead cross-functional process development. Technical Understanding: Apply significant experience to manage commodities; create and drive strategies that align with both procurement and stakeholder goals. Negotiations: Lead negotiations for most commercial terms with very limited legal involvement; apply creative thinking and non-monetary tradeoffs to achieve cost mitigation. Supplier Management: Maintain strong relationships at the supplier Senior Management level; resolve conflicts and drive accountability with minimal escalation. Stakeholder Management: Leverage industry knowledge to build strong relationships; proactively communicate risk-mitigation information to leadership and act as a cross-functional advisor. Project Management and Risk Mitigation: Lead large-scale projects with autonomy; develop risk mapping to proactively identify and resolve complex issues. Data Analysis: Develop and track KPIs to indicate category health; translate complex datasets for non-expert audiences and executives. Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or Engineering and a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience. Domain Expertise: Significant experience managing commodities and a full understanding of the procurement end-to-end lifecycle. Commodity-Specific Experience: Experience in stamping and/or plastic manufacturing equipment, including stamping presses, blanking lines, injection molding machines and related equipment and machinery as applicable is preferred. Other capex or related experience also considered. Technical Skills: Expert user of Supply Chain systems (SAP, Basecamp) and proficient in reviewing cost breakdowns against cost estimation models to identify risks. Communication: An interpreter of information; able to facilitate productive conversations and gain buy-in with a clear vision across diverse working groups. Execution: Proactively identifies risks/opportunities by looking beyond the immediate task and advises leadership on appropriate strategy. Operational Style: Acts instinctively to manage and effectively prioritize a complex workload with little to no manager input. Travel Requirements: Ability and willingness to travel as needed based on business needs, expected to average between 10-15%. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
