The posting

About Rivian Rivian is on a mission to keep the world adventurous forever. This goes for the emissions-free Electric Adventure Vehicles we build, and the curious, courageous souls we seek to attract. As a company, we constantly challenge what’s possible, never simply accepting what has always been done. We reframe old problems, seek new solutions and operate comfortably in areas that are unknown. Our backgrounds are diverse, but our team shares a love of the outdoors and a desire to protect it for future generations. Role Summary Internship Term: Rivian internships are experiences optimized for student candidates. To be eligible, you must be an undergraduate or graduate student in an accredited program during the internship term with an expected graduation date between May 2028 and December 2029. Rivian's Internship Program requires active student enrollment. Information regarding your expected degree completion date is collected solely to verify eligibility and determine your availability for future full-time opportunities. Rivian is an equal opportunity employer and does not use graduation dates to determine the age of applicants or as a basis for discriminatory hiring decisions. If you are not pursuing a degree, please see our full time positions on our Rivian careers site. Note that if your university has specific requirements for internship programs, it is your responsibility to fulfill those requirements. No Visa Sponsorship On the Field Service Programs & Applied Intelligence team, you will help improve how Rivian plans, delivers, and scales service for our customers. Depending on team priorities and your strengths, your work may span program execution, process improvement, workforce development, service readiness, operational analytics, or AI-enabled tools and workflows—with guidance from experienced program managers and opportunities to learn directly from field teams. Responsibilities Own an end-to-end capstone project with mentor guidance: define a service challenge, establish success measures, develop and test an improvement, and deliver findings, a working tool, or an implementation plan. Support initiatives across the team by maintaining project plans, tracking milestones and dependencies, coordinating action items, and preparing stakeholder updates. Gather feedback from field teams, map workflows, and analyze operational data to identify bottlenecks, understand root causes, and recommend improvements. Develop and test practical deliverables such as dashboards, process guides, training resources, prototypes, or workflow automation based on your project’s needs. Collaborate with Field Operations, Digital Technology, Engineering, and other partners to evaluate solutions, support pilots, and help teams adopt new tools and processes. Document your methods and results, communicate progress, and present capstone outcomes and recommendations to leadership at the end of the term. Qualifications Currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate, Master’s, or PhD program in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field Hands-on academic or project experience using spreadsheets to organize and analyze data, and collaboration or presentation tools to plan work and communicate findings. Demonstrated practical problem-solving experience through coursework, research, student organizations, personal projects, employment, or prior internships. Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills, including the ability to explain findings to technical and nontechnical audiences. Ability to manage priorities, seek feedback, and follow through on commitments while working with teammates from different disciplines. Must be available to work full-time (40 hours/week) on-site in San Jose, California for the full [X]-week internship or co-op program. Preferred Qualifications Prior internship, co-op, or substantial project experience in program management, product development, service operations, process improvement, analytics, or technology. Experience with one or more tools such as Excel, Google Sheets, Jira, SQL, Python, Tableau, or Power BI. Familiarity with process mapping, continuous improvement, project planning, change management, or practical applications of AI and automation. Experience turning complex information or user feedback into clear recommendations, usable tools, or guidance for frontline teams. Interest in electric vehicles and improving the experience of customers, service advisors, technicians, and field leaders. #LI-[SAI7] Pay Disclosure The salary range for this role is $24.00-51.00/hr for Bay Area based applicants. Participation in AI profile matching is entirely voluntary. If you prefer that your profile not be used in this process, you can opt out at any time. Opting out means your profile will be excluded from automated matching and will not be surfaced for additional roles through this system. Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
