Are you passionate about enriching the lives of older adults and making a meaningful difference in the lives of those living with memory loss? We are seeking a compassionate, creative, and enthusiastic Full-Time Life Enrichment Assistant to join our team at our 106-unit assisted living community, which includes a dedicated memory care neighborhood.

We are looking for someone who believes that every resident deserves purpose, connection, dignity, and opportunities for joy. The ideal candidate has a special passion for memory care and is eager to expand their knowledge and skills through ongoing Alzheimer’s and dementia education and professional certification.

What You’ll Do

  • Assist in planning, organizing, and facilitating engaging daily activities and programs primarily for our memory care residents but also in assisted living.
  • Create meaningful opportunities for residents to connect, socialize, express themselves, and maintain a sense of purpose.
  • Support individualized life enrichment programming that reflects residents’ interests, abilities, life experiences, and personal preferences.
  • Help develop and implement engaging, dementia-friendly activities that promote cognitive stimulation, social interaction, physical movement, and emotional well-being.
  • Build genuine, trusting relationships with residents and their families.
  • Encourage resident participation while respecting individual choices, abilities, and independence.
  • Collaborate with team members to provide a positive, welcoming, and person-centered environment.
  • Assist with special events, celebrations, outings, and other community programs.

What We’re Looking For

  • A genuine passion for working with older adults, especially individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia.
  • A positive, patient, compassionate, and creative approach to resident engagement.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to connect with residents at various cognitive and functional levels.
  • Flexibility, dependability, and a willingness to work as part of a team.
  • The ability to work a flexible schedule that includes weekends and occasional holidays as needed.
  • A willingness to pursue additional education, training, and certification in Alzheimer’s disease and dementia care.
  • Previous experience in senior living, activities, life enrichment, or memory care is preferred.
