Robert Half is currently recruiting a Financial & Business Controller (M/V/X) - Region Antwerp

Our client is an entrepreneurial investment-focused organization with activities across long-term investing and financial services.

The company combines a strategic, hands-on approach with a strong focus on sustainable growth, financial discipline, and value creation.

The scope of responsibilities for this job as Financial & Business Controller (M/V/X) include:

  • You oversee the financial performance of the organization's investment and financial services activities, ensuring timely, accurate, and decision-relevant reporting.
  • You coordinate annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term financial planning, while challenging assumptions and tracking performance against objectives.
  • You define, monitor, and analyze financial and operational KPIs, identifying trends, risks, opportunities, and value drivers for management.
  • You prepare and review business cases, financial models, scenario analyses, and benchmark studies to support strategic, investment, and financing decisions.
  • You collaborate with the accounting team on monthly, quarterly, and annual closings, and contribute to statutory and consolidated reporting.
  • You take ownership of recurring and ad hoc regulatory reporting and help ensure compliance with applicable requirements and deadlines.
  • You manage periodic reporting for key stakeholders and provide clear, actionable financial insights.
  • You monitor cash flow forecasts and liquidity positions and support financing-related analyses and stakeholder interactions.
  • You help strengthen internal controls and continuously improve finance processes, data integrity, and operational efficiency.

The requested qualifications for this job include:

  • You hold a master's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Economics, or a related field, combined with at least 3 years of relevant experience in controlling, audit, transaction services, investment analysis, or a similar finance position.
  • You have a strong understanding of financial statements, performance management, and IFRS, and you ideally bring affinity with investment environments, financial markets, or regulated financial services.
  • You combine analytical strength with a critical and solution-oriented mindset, and you know how to translate complex data into clear recommendations.
  • You work confidently with Excel, and experience with SAP or another ERP system is considered an asset.
  • You communicate fluently in Dutch and English and are comfortable engaging with both financial and non-financial stakeholders.
  • You are proactive, accurate, and intellectually curious, with a strong sense of ownership and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • You bring additional value if you have experience with project management, internal controls, risk management, regulatory reporting, or financing projects.
