Then join our journey and become part of the team driving the New Space movement in Europe.

About the Team

Join a team building the next generation of launch vehicle technology. As an AIT (Assembly, Integration & Testing) Lead (f/m/d), you will play a key role in transforming engineering designs into flight-ready hardware. Working at the intersection of manufacturing, engineering, logistics, and quality, you will lead a team responsible for assembling and integrating critical vehicle stages and systems. This role offers the opportunity to shape production processes, develop technical talent, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced aerospace environment. You will have a direct impact on mission success by ensuring that hardware is assembled safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. If you are passionate about leading technical teams, solving complex manufacturing challenges, and bringing advanced aerospace systems to life, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Tasks

  • Lead the assembly and integration of vehicle stages, subsystems, and associated hardware, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and according to schedule.
  • Coordinate daily workshop activities by assigning tasks, managing resources, and monitoring team performance to meet production milestones.
  • Act as the primary interface between engineering and production teams, ensuring smooth communication and implementation of design updates.
  • Develop and support assembly technicians through training, mentoring, and maintenance of competency and training matrices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process enhancements, supporting quality control activities, and facilitating feedback loops between workshop and design teams.
  • Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure materials, components, and equipment are available, tested, and ready for integration activities.
  • Support assembly, integration, testing, equipment maintenance, health & safety compliance, and production reporting activities to ensure operational excellence.

Your Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

  • Demonstrated experience leading assembly, integration, manufacturing, or production activities in a complex technical environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to organize teams, prioritize work, and deliver against production schedules.
  • Excellent hands-on mechanical assembly skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues on the shop floor.
  • Experience working with manufacturing equipment, workshop machinery, tools, and assembly processes.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, production, quality, logistics, and supply chain functions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and quality management practices within a production environment.
  • Clear communication skills with the ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience in aerospace, launch vehicles, satellites, aviation, automotive, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of assembly documentation, work instructions, assembly travelers, and configuration control processes.
  • Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing, TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), Six Sigma, or comparable continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Previous responsibility for technician training programs and competency management.
  • Experience supporting integration campaigns or testing activities.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to the launch site on Unst, Shetland Islands (UK).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
