ABOUT ROCKET MONEY 🔮

Rocket Money’s mission is to meaningfully improve the financial prosperity of millions of people. We help our members understand and optimize their financial lives, and increasingly, we help them grow their money through consumer-friendly savings products.

As we expand our portfolio of deposit products, we’re looking for a strategic, hands-on operator to own and scale Business Operations for this critical business line.

ABOUT THE ROLE 🤹‍♀️

The Business Operations Manager will be the operational owner for Rocket Money’s deposit products. You will run Business Operations for our existing savings plan account (FBO) and our new high yield savings account (HYSA), and build the operating foundation for any future deposit products.

This role sits at the intersection of product, customer support, legal / compliance, fraud, and marketing, acting as the connective tissue that ensures our deposit products are safe, scalable, compliant, and financially sound.

If you thrive in ambiguity, enjoy architecting systems from scratch, and have a history of becoming the “go-to person” for a complex business area, this role is for you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

📌 Business Operations Owner for Deposit Ops

  • Own day-to-day business operations for FBO, HYSA and new features for these products
  • Monitor product health, risks, and operational KPIs; identify trends and propose improvements.
  • Translate business goals into operational plans and ensure flawless execution.

🤝 Partner, Vendor & Cross-Functional Management

  • Serve as the primary operational point of contact for deposit product bank partners, processors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Shepherd partner relationships, run partner meetings, track commitments, and ensure delivery.

🛠 Operational Excellence & Problem Solving

  • Build and continuously refine procedures across escheatment, compliance, customer support, exception handling, and more.
  • Deep-dive into operational issues, data anomalies, and system behavior, owning root cause analysis and long-term fixes.
  • Create clarity in ambiguous situations; proactively identify gaps before they become problems.

📣 Communication, Documentation & Alignment

  • Craft clear, concise documentation (procedures, decision proposals, project plans).
  • Align cross-functional teams around decisions, timelines, and risks.
  • Present insights and recommendations to leadership with confidence and clarity.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE 💫

In your first 90 days:

  • You understand our business model, partners, compliance constraints, and operational pain points.
  • You’ve taken ownership of FBO/HYSA operations and delivered improvements with measurable impact.

Within your first year:

  • You’re the recognized owner and subject-matter expert for deposit product operations.
  • You’re anticipating problems, driving cross-functional alignment, and steering the roadmap for sustainable growth.

ABOUT YOU 🦄

  • 4+ years of experience in Business Operations, Strategy, Product Operations, or a highly cross-functional operational role
  • You thrive in ambiguity and act like an owner; you’re energized by figuring things out
  • Exceptional communicator; you can make complex systems simple
  • Strong project manager with a bias toward action
  • Comfortable with data analysis and turning metrics into decisions (Looker, pivot tables)
  • Proven ability to work with partners, vendors, and technical + non-technical stakeholders, balancing diplomacy and assertiveness
  • You enjoy moving between strategy and execution, zooming out to see the whole system and then rolling up your sleeves to get things done

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
