The posting

Rockstar is recruiting for a growing technology company helping businesses increase their visibility and revenue through modern websites, search engine optimization, and generative engine optimization. They build high-performance websites and develop tools that help businesses compete across traditional search engines and artificial intelligence platforms like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other emerging search experiences.

About the Company

They're a growing technology company helping businesses increase their visibility and revenue through modern websites, search engine optimization, and generative engine optimization.

They build high-performance websites and develop tools that help businesses compete across traditional search engines and artificial intelligence platforms like ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other emerging search experiences.

They're looking for a highly skilled Search Engine Optimization and Artificial Intelligence Search Specialist who understands both the technical and strategic sides of organic search and can take ownership of improving performance across a growing portfolio of client websites.

About the Role

This is a hands-on, part-time position for someone with deep experience in technical search engine optimization, on-page optimization, analytics, and emerging artificial intelligence search strategies.

The specialist will work directly with one of the co-founders to monitor website performance, identify opportunities, implement improvements, and help their clients grow their organic and artificial intelligence search visibility.

They're looking for someone who can do more than produce audits and recommendations. The ideal candidate should be comfortable investigating technical issues, analyzing data, prioritizing opportunities, and working within a modern development environment to implement improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and improve search engine optimization performance across a portfolio of client websites.
  • Conduct technical website audits, identifying and resolving issues related to indexing, crawling, redirects, structured data, internal linking, site architecture, and performance.
  • Use Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and SEMrush to monitor organic search performance, rankings, traffic, and conversions.
  • Work with Google Tag Manager to implement, troubleshoot, and validate analytics and conversion tracking.
  • Identify on-page optimization opportunities, including content improvements, metadata, heading structures, internal linking, and search intent alignment.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve visibility across artificial intelligence search experiences, including ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, and other emerging platforms.
  • Analyze website and landing page performance to identify opportunities for increased engagement and conversion rates.
  • Evaluate keyword performance, competitive positioning, and emerging search trends.
  • Collaborate with the development team to implement technical website improvements.
  • Create actionable reporting that clearly communicates performance, opportunities, and priorities.
  • Stay current with changes in Google's algorithms, artificial intelligence search, and evolving technical search engine optimization best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Strong professional experience in technical and on-page search engine optimization.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Google Search Console, SEMrush, and Google Analytics.
  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, including event tracking, conversion tracking, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of crawling, indexing, website sitemaps, redirects, canonical tags, structured data, and Core Web Vitals.
  • Demonstrated experience improving organic search performance through data-driven strategies.
  • Familiarity with artificial intelligence search visibility, generative engine optimization, and answer engine optimization.
  • Ability to analyze complex website performance and analytics data and translate findings into specific actions.
  • Comfortable working independently, managing priorities, and communicating clearly in a remote environment.

Technology Stack

They operate on a modern website development stack, including:

  • Astro Static Site Generator for fast, high-performance websites.
  • GitHub for version control and collaboration.
  • Cursor for artificial intelligence assisted development and code editing.
  • Netlify for hosting and deployment.
  • Internal tools for reporting, search engine optimization analysis, artificial intelligence visibility, and website management.

Experience with these technologies is strongly preferred. The candidate does not need to be a full-stack developer, but should be technically comfortable working alongside developers, understanding website code, and implementing or guiding technical changes.

What They're Looking For

They want someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and genuinely interested in the future of search.

The ideal candidate knows how to distinguish meaningful search optimization opportunities from low-impact recommendations, is comfortable working across multiple client accounts, and can take an issue from identification through resolution.

The specialist will have the opportunity to work closely with the founders, help shape their search engine optimization and artificial intelligence search strategies, and play a meaningful role in the continued growth of the company.

Schedule

20 to 30 hours per week, fully remote, with flexibility in scheduling and regular collaboration with leadership.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
