CDL-A Regional Touch Freight Driver | FAMILY DOLLAR - Morehead, KY

Earn an average of $1,900 per week delivering dedicated store freight from the Morehead, KY area. This regional driving position offers weekly home time, a $2,500 sign-on bonus, paid ride-along training, and additional pay for trailer unloads, stops, and backhauls.

Pay Details & Schedule

  • Average Weekly Pay: $1,900
  • Annual Earnings: $88,000–$98,000+
  • Base Mileage Pay: 0–11 months: $0.81; 12–23 months: $0.82; 24–35 months: $0.83; 36+ months: $0.84 per mile
  • Additional Pay: $335 per full-trailer unload, $25 per stop, and $50 per backhaul
  • All-In Pay: Up to $1.35 per mile, including base mileage pay and eligible additional earnings divided by miles
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,500 total, paid as follows: $500 on the first load, $500 at 30 days, $250 at 60 days, $250 at 90 days, $250 at 120 days, $250 at 150 days, and $500 at 180 days
  • Home Time: Weekly for a 34-hour reset
  • Schedule: Early-morning starts, with deliveries throughout the day; nights, weekends, and holidays may be required
  • Training: One-week ride-along with a current driver at $150 per day

Job Details

  • Dedicated regional store-delivery account
  • Approximately 1,200–1,500 miles per week
  • Routes across AL, GA, IN, IL, KY, NC, OH, SC, TN, VA, and WV
  • 100% touch freight: Live unloading at stores using rollers
  • Typically 3–7 stops per load, averaging 3 loads per week
  • International, Freightliner, and Kenworth tractors
  • On-site support available 24/7
  • Paid vacation: 1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 7 years, and 4 weeks after 10 years

Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A CDL
  • Minimum 3 months of tractor-trailer experience within the last 36 months
  • Clean driving record
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • No SAP drivers
  • Patience and strong customer-service skills
  • Must be physically able to complete live unloads and handle touch freight
  • Must be available for early starts, nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled
  • Bring two weeks’ worth of supplies to orientation
