Boxed and wrapped furniture, an assigned sleeper, and your weekends at home. This regional job runs multi-stop deliveries across the East Coast and Midwest, and the pay per mile and per stop adds up quickly.

Let's start with the money. Drivers average about $1,535 a week, which puts annual potential at around $85,000. You earn $0.71 for every mile and $25 for every stop, and the check lands weekly.

Your week runs Monday to Friday with morning starts, and you're home each weekend. Every so often a Sunday dispatch comes up, so it helps to be a little flexible on that one.

You'll haul boxed and wrapped furniture in dry vans, driving an assigned late-model Freightliner sleeper. This is a driver-assist job, so at each delivery you'll tailgate the product, which means some hands-on work at the dock.

What helps you qualify:

- A valid Class A CDL

- 9 months of tractor-trailer driving in the past 3 years

- Okay with a urine and hair follicle drug test
