Roofing Industries is a New Zealand manufacturer and supplier of metal roofing and cladding products, proudly supporting roofers and builders nationwide.

About the Role

We're now looking for a motivated Sales Representative to join our team. You'll be responsible for growing sales and building strong customer relationships, while also supporting day-to-day branch operations. While sales is the core focus, this is not a desk-only role — you'll also help with quoting, order processing, and occasionally assist with deliveries or manufacturing duties when required. The role includes a company vehicle and mobile phone.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visit, communicate with, and build great relationships with Roofing Industries' customers and users
  • Promote and sell Roofing Industries products
  • Handle administrative tasks, quoting, and order processing where required
  • Assist with deliveries when/where required
  • Assist with manufacturing duties if required
  • Respond to incoming emails and assist customers
  • Maintain records required for compliance with NZ regulations
  • Communicate, liaise, and develop great working relationships with Roofing Industries staff, other suppliers, and other RI branches

Requirements

You're proactive, reliable, and thrive in a fast-paced environment. You'll bring:

  • Sales experience
  • Knowledge of relevant NZ legislation
  • A professional approach and confident manner
  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • A team-first mindset and willingness to support others
  • A good level of physical fitness and strength
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint (desirable)
  • A clean driver's licence
  • A valid work visa or the right to work in New Zealand
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
