Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Flexographic Prep & Ink Technician to provide vital staging,

setup, and material preparation for our production press teams. In this role, you will lead ink

formulations, plate mounting, and roller preparation to ensure smooth, efficient job changeovers.

Your work directly minimizes machine downtime (makeready), maintains high print quality

standards, and drives overall manufacturing efficiency. If you have a strong mechanical

background, keen visual accuracy, and enjoy hands-on technical support in a fast-paced

environment, this role offers an exceptional opportunity to make an immediate impact.

Essential Job Functions

  • Precision-mount flexographic printing plates onto cylinders to ensure accurate register during printing.
  • Prepare, clean, and inspect anilox rollers before and after production runs.
  • Mount gears, handles, and hardware onto plate cylinders and anilox rollers.
  • Utilize anilox scopes to measure cell volume and assess roller condition for quality control.
  • Maintain inventory of molded plates, ordering replacements as needed to avoid production delays.
  • Inspect, prep, and coordinate the shipping of worn cylinders or rollers for off-site reconditioning.
  • Receive, stage, and distribute inks directly to press lines
  • Collaborate with press operators to streamline setup procedures and execute additional operational tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience or strong mechanical skills working with industrial tooling, machinery, or complex mechanical setups. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or blueprints.
  • Outstanding visual accuracy and high attention to detail for precise color matching, viscosity testing, and plate mounting alignment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet tight deadlines, and adapt quickly to shifting production needs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills to coordinate effectively across pressroom staff, inventory control, and management.
  • Ability to work productively both independently and in a collaborative team setting, taking initiative to solve problems and improve pressroom workflows.
  • Comfort working in an active manufacturing environment – including standing, walking, bending, stooping and reaching on concrete floors throughout the shift.
  • Frequent manual lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying of items weighing up to 35 lbs (such as ink buckets, chemical pails and plate cylinders).

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
