The posting

About the role Lead the Field Service team that installs, qualifies, maintains and repairs semiconductor test equipment for customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

  • People: Lead, coach and develop Field Service Engineers and Site Leads, and manage performance, engagement, succession and staffing
  • Customer support: Oversee installation, qualification, maintenance and repair, act as the escalation point for critical issues, and keep customers satisfied
  • Operations: Track service KPIs (response time, uptime, MTTR, customer satisfaction, productivity), drive root cause analysis and corrective actions, and improve standard work and reporting
  • Resource and projects: Plan manpower, schedules, travel and on-call support across sites and regions, and support new product introductions and customer ramp-ups with Engineering, Applications, Manufacturing and Quality
  • Business: Manage the service budget and costs, support forecasting and headcount planning, and identify service revenue and cost optimisation opportunities
  • Safety and compliance: Promote a strong safety culture, keep certifications and training current, and lead safety investigations

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or related
  • 8-10 years in semiconductor equipment, automation, capital equipment or field service operations
  • 3-5 years leading technical service teams
  • Strong knowledge of equipment installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and customer support
  • Experience managing global customers and multi-site teams
  • Strong leadership, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience in KPI management, resource planning and continuous improvement
  • Willing to travel internationally as required
